thats it, i just love my days off , i like working hard on my last shift and waking up having 3 days off its great, sleeping in , relaxing all day, going to the beach , or just sitting around all day with my two girls , heres to days off !!

OK. I'm back to work today. Gripe, gripe, grumble, mumble, grumble.:(

Lets see I just burned through some .308, .22 and 9mm rounds. I love my days off.

Yes we need to do this again very soon! BTW I checked and Isaiah has a .308 also a Savage .308 LH to be exact, It was so much more relaxing then going to the gym later that night. I found the gun I want though so we can add a .45 acp to that list too soon.

I love my job most days and enjoy going to work, but I also love my days off. I will love them more when I can actually move (way to sore from working out) and when I start finding more stuff to do in this town that I hate!

Looked forward all week to today as I had a stressful week. I was going to sleep until whenever.

WHY did I wake up at 0630?!

Oh well, still enjoyed the day. Other than a grocery store run and working out, I didn't do much but rest and putter around the house and internet.

Do any of you experience throbbing feet when you first get up after several days of work? Ouch. Maybe it's just me...and old age.

I have tonight and tomorrow night off, the house to myself.... aaaaah :D

I'm gonna soak in a hot tub, go to the gym and get in a couple of workouts, watch War Horse, and just relax in my sweatpants! Not doing a whole heck of a lot, but I can't wait :lol2:

I'm off on this BEAUTIFUL weekend. Plan to enjoy this weather, spend QT with my wonderful fiance, work-out, go to church and maybe a lil moscato.

I agree! I've been picking up a lot of OT lately and I haven't had more than a day and a half off in between shifts in quite awhile (I work night shift). I finally end up with 5 days off and my supervisor texts me asking if I could pick up this weekend. HECK NO! I need some time off :)

Every other week, I have six days off in a row. I absolutely love it. I like my job a lot, but I like my days off even better!

The opposite weeks, not so much...work three, off two, work three...off six!

I get 5 days off each week. I love working weekend option!

When I get bored, I'll just pick up at my PRN job. The beauty is, when I want all my days off, I get them all off.

I love working in the ER, but can only do it two nights a week.

Days off are amazing! I love my job, but I love being free to do what I want as well. I've just come off a long hard couple of weeks, so having a 3 day weekend is excellent. I'm actually looking forward to doing a bit of housecleaning.

I think we can all agree with you there! I love my current job. It's at a very laid-back Adult Family Home where everyone's able to walk and pretty much take care of themselves. I'm just there for housekeeping, meals and general keep-and-eye-on-things you know? But, I only have to work two full days and nights and then I'm off for five days straight! Today is my birthday so I traded shifts with my boss so I only had to work Saturday and half of today and I will get five and a half days off this week. Yay! Nothing like putting your feet up after work! Even an "easy" place like my work, there's still a lot to get done and you really feel it after you stop to rest! Days off are a godsend and without them we'd burn out very fast! Which is the reason I won't work more than two days a week, (with three sleepovers), unless it's a one time thing to cover someone who's sick or going to court or whatever, because I know my body and how much it can stand before it's burn out city! Something I want to avoid like the plague! Anyway, enjoy your days off!

I understand how you feel. A few of my family members often commented that when I'm on my days off, "my mind switches off" too. I guess subconsciously, for self preservation, my mind don't really want to deal with complex things when I am not working. I love my days off whenever I get them. When I am working , I am very focused and I problem solve all the time. Work takes a lot out of me. Like Mazy, my first day off is often fuzzy :singing:and all I want to do is sleep..
