thats it, i just love my days off , i like working hard on my last shift and waking up having 3 days off its great, sleeping in , relaxing all day, going to the beach , or just sitting around all day with my two girls , heres to days off !!

Mazy- Just want to send you a "cheer up" comment! Be thankful for having a job in this bad economy. Make the best of your days and try (although I know sometimes it’s hard) to see the positive, the light, the goodness in all things. Try to relax when you get home. Let go of the things that you cannot change.

Enjoy your day! =)

Thanks for the good thoughts. :redpinkhe

I actually love my job, even through the bad times I can't imagine doing anything else. Especially through the bad times.

Right now I'm making myself a fantastic home cooked meal -- I actually went grocery shopping and did wander around like a crazy lady. But I'm at home now and cooking good things and can talk to myself without scaring anyone but my cats.

I'm just a few weeks off of orientation and now on my regular (Sat, Sun, Mon) shift. I love having a four-day weekend when everyone else is working! ...Now just to catch-up on all the 'stuff' I haven't done in the last two years while I was in Nursing School and working full time!

I don't mind working hard, because I know I'm earning my days OFF! :-)

Specializes in LTC, wound care.

I love 3 12s.... I only have to commute in 3 days a week, and then I get 4 days (in a row!) off EACH WEEK!

I am so lucky! yes, I work hard for those 12s which often creep over that (with charting and paperwork), but it's ok.

And OT anytime I want it, too!

what a nice job....

Mazy if you haven't died your hair bright red and wear hot pink pants with a red flower print blouse most people probably don't notice . . . . do they??? It's not like my hair is bright red or anything (yet). My favorite somewhat ditzy old lady patient dressed like that. I just loved her. I can see her plunking down a can of sardines to be scanned and then forget why she wanted sardines and grab the can back.

What I want to know is who is responsible for the warp in the space-time continuum that makes time speed up x at least 3 on my days off? And draaaaaag on sometimes at work? As a friend said one evening, "it's been 5 minutes to 7pm for the last 3 hours". :lol2:

Viva la days off!

Here's to days off!

Lets see I just burned through some .308, .22 and 9mm rounds. I love my days off.

If I could like this post a million times I would!

I realize that after working my butt off for 2-3 days in a row while working nights (so I barely see the sun...and I hate the fact that I have to sleep during beautful sunny days, especially here in CA!) I make sure to enjoy my days off as much as I can....

a toast to days off

For a better work tomorrow

... i just love my days off...

Like Smokey sang: "I second that emotion!"

I hate to brag, but I get to enjoy my 4 days off!!! And after tonight, it'll be 8 WHOLE days away from the job!!! Go Dazglue!!! Lol.

I love my days off too. I just worked 3 nights a row and had 5 nights off! Loved it! :D

I'm off tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday!!!! Best of all, my day went well today prior to clocking off. I'm just going to clean my place, exercise @ the beach (hopefully see some sexy bikini clad mommas), laundry, and then drink a beer..not beers..A beer tomorrow.

Specializes in Rehab, critical care.

Definitely! Even if it's just cleaning up the house or painting (just bought my first house :)), I look forward to them, too! I definitely do my share of relaxing, too, watching HGTV, biking, and spending time with the hubby.

Yay to days off! Tomorrow's my last day off, but work affords us our homes, cars, and fun things in life. Well, guess I better get back to painting. Putting painter's tape up is the worst, takes longer than the painting itself. Have a good night, AN, always a welcome distraction from house work! haha
