That depends on exactly what your questions are. Most people are comfortable discussing their compensation packages. However, it is not appropriate to ask people to do your homework for you -- as in asking us rather than doing a literature search. It would also be inappropriate to use us a "research subjects" and bypass the need for IRB approval, etc., thus violating the ethical and legal standards of the conduct of research.

So ... exactly what kind of help are you looking for?

It's a questionnarie for my research paper on Registered Nurse salaries. For example, one of the questions is how long have you been a Registered Nurse and what was your starting salary. I have five questions, but if they're too personal then you don't have to answer them.

If you're using a questionnaire to compile different answers for a project, fine. As the above poster said, if you're looking for an easy way to do your homework, not fine. I think you're on the right track. Ask away.

No, it has nothing to do with homework. It's a questionnarie for my APA reseach paper in English Comp.

1. it was prabably 50% of my decision. I consider college an expensive investment. If nursing didn't pay well..I wouldn't have gone through the schooling for it. However...it truly doesn't pay enough to compensate for the tasks if you don't enjoy taking care of others.

2. 24.18 an hour, plus 1.25 an hour differential, plus bonuses if called in.

3. umm...3 months

4. same...

5. I work in a critical access hospital in southern MN on med/surg and unit relief (assisting in CCU)

You'll get better quality information for your paper if you do a standard literature search through your school's library (either in person or online). There are a couple of major nursing journals ... and organizations ... that regularly survey large numbers of nurses to track salaries and other, similar information. It's published in major journals and online on a regular basis.

maybe the op wants to gather the info first hand and can just list allnurses.com as one of the sources. if you don't want to answer the questions, then don't. the op is just surveying and not asking people here to do the hw for herself. plus, the questions seem to be appropriate.

yes using the library is good but you sill feel that answering those questionnaires are still doing the homework for the op?

those questions had been asked here numerous times already so i think it is ok to ask them again.

My professor told me that he wanted me to do the questionnarie myself and get the results because it is a research paper of my own and he only wanted me to use the internet for average hourly wage and average annual wage.
