I JUST took mu NCLEX!!

Published

 i just got home from Pearson, and my mind is goin a hundred miles a minute!!! I took the Nclex-PN, and it stopped @ 85 questions. i called my teacher, and she said that was a good sign. everyone always says that if you stopped at the minimum, then more than likely you passed, but with my luck, i could be the exception!

It was nothing like i expected it to be, i guess a small part of me was hoping it would be easy-i know, a false reality! I had 11 check all that apply, and most of them were drugs i have never even heard of! there were quite a few prioritizing questions, which i kind of like, so hopefully i passed, if not i will be a blubbering mess until i can take it again.

so, now i start the waiting game. thankfully in my state you can get your results in 2 business days, so i will let yall know the results! thanxs for letting me vent!

Good Luck! I will keep my fingers crpssed for ya! Thats exciting.. I hope to start nursing school In January, so I have a few more years.. but, let us know!!

congrats on getting thru school and taking the test. Go enjoy yourself until the results if you are keeping check on a state board website do not panic until it actually has a license number or temp inactive. I took mine a month ago with 2 other students from my class, they got their L number that same night I of course had to wait 3 days, it was hell but when I finally decided I failed I decided to check the site one more time and about passed out when it gave my perm license number.

Good luck

thanx everyone! i swear, i am going to have to have my boyfriend hide the keyboard or something from me for the next 2 days to, or i will wear that website out checking it every half hour!:typing

Congratulations on finishing and keep your head up. If it was meant to work out believe me it will. Just relax and take your mind off of it. Good Luck

Congrats!! I know exactly how you feel!! Waiting is the worst! I just took my HESI, which we have to pass to graduate, and I won't find out if I passed until tomorrow!!! I'm going crazy, I am pretty sure that I passed, but I won't be able to fully celebrate until tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping to take NCLEX-PN in a few weeks, so any advice for that would well appreciated!!

Blessings from Texas!

I am having the same problem! I took the NCLEX-PN this morning, and have been checking the BON website all day, even though I know nothing will be on there yet.

My test shut off at 85 questions, and I can't really remember any of the questions (seems as though I have already blocked out the whole experience!!) I had a few "check all that apply", infection control, and priority questions....but no math?!? I thought that was weird.

Anyway, good luck to you! I am sure that we both passed with flying colors!!

Good luck on your results! Let us know.

well, i made a BIG mistake right at the beginning of the NCLEX. I am usually not a bad test taker, and i have never had "test anxiety", but when the first question popped up, i had NO clue what the answer was, so almost the whole test all i was thinking about was the first darn question!:angryfire

Also, i had 11 check all that apply, & 4 of them were in the first 15! Also, i had LOTS of pharmacology (not my best subject), and I dont think i had ANY OB or Peds questions!

I dont know my results yet, but i did the Saunders review, and my school offered ATI so i did the PN comprhension over and over. I also read the chapters in the Saunders book that i know i had trouble with.

anyways, Good Luck on your boards!!

I found out today that i PASSED!!! I started crying when i found out (i'm a little emotional!). i just couldnt believe it. I swear, i have the best feeling in the world right now, like a 1000 lbs. has been lifted off my shoulders!

I won't take my nclex until next june. It is nice that on this site, you can read people who have already taken it. I guess I should breathe before having test anxiety when it is my turn to take the test. I am notorious for test anxiety, even if I do well. Good luck to all nursing students!:balloons:
