Congratulations, but silly me am uneducated what is a BSc degree specialist community practitioners course?? I am curious. :uhoh21:
Its a health visitors course. they take over from the midwife and check all is ok till child goes to school. they do child surveillance, baby clinics. help and advice for parents, health education and promotion etc. To become a health visitor you have to be a paeds nurse, and be qualified for at least 2 yrs. You then have to get a primary care trust to sponsor you to do course, its not easy to get sponsorship. There were 15 people going for 2 places. i was lucky. The course is at uni and is 12 mths long but intense and on passing you gain a Batchelor of science degree (honours). Hope this helps :)
