I just had to share, I am so excited! I've worked so hard for this. It's been a personal goal and uphill battle.

There are so many posts from 30+ adults headed back to school, especially from those with kids, wondering if it can be done. I'd just like to share that I headed back at 32 and have 6 kids. It can be done, it is possible, you CAN do it.

Graduation is Thursday & I start my new job after the first of the year. But for tonight.......a well-earned

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

Very good:yeah:you have to be very good to make a 4.0 overall in nursing college. I work full time and have two children and have to study really hard to maintain a 4.0 in school. It has been a very tedious road. I have four more classes and I hope to keep it up if not then I will not be too stressed.

Many congratulations on a job well done. You are an inspiration to all!

alright!! a big slam dunk for team 30+ lol, j/k, j/k.

congratulations to you! this is news that encourages many. if i could buy you a cold one, i would!

:yeah:congrats again.

thats amazing! congratulations!

Thanks for all your kind words & congratulations.

My post was part brag , but mostly to offer up encouragement for others. There were many times I wanted to quit and I am sure that all of you can relate to that. I think we hear so many horror stories about NS that we get our feathers ruffled before we even start.

I just wanted people to know that it really isn't that bad. I still had a life, still had time for kids & hubby, my house was clean, and I still found time to study. It wasn't always a walk in the park but I'm still breathing, still married, & my kids still love me. Thats what I REALLY wanted all of you just starting out to know.

Good luck to all!

You are right to be proud of yourself! Congrats from another "older" nursing student. You give me hope.

Congrats!!! What an accomplishment.

Me being a new nursing student starting in January with two kids and a hubby, any advice as to what you did to get such good grades? Any tips I could use or suggestions?

Thanks!
