as if i'm not stressed and exhausted enough between work, all the extra stuff i have at school, family, having a 2 year old daughter, etc....i just found out this morning that i'm also pregnant! yikes!!! absolutely shocked me speechless....two tests and both were +! hubby and i were planning on trying in aug/sept so that the baby would be born near the end of the school year and i could take the summer off and not miss any days....apparently, baby didn't like waiting lol! so, my due date is somewhere around 11/21/11...so guess i'll take off from thanksgiving-new years!

Congratulations!!! It will all work out, and just think you won't have to cook Thanksgiving this year!!!!

Congratulations!! I had a baby in November as well (several years ago) and other than the summer it's the second best time to be off because of all the holidays anyway. Just make sure to get most of your Christmas shopping done ahead of time because you probably won't feel like doing it with a newborn-I know I didn't! However, it was so nice for everyone to be together for the holidays with a new baby to hold and your two year old will still get plenty of attention from other family and have lots of new things to play with to keep her entertained while you tend to a newborn. It's all good!

My little girl was born on December 19th in 2008...I didn't have my Christmas shopping finished LOL She was a planned c-section (and I still didn't finish! LOL!) and was born on a Friday. We went home on Monday and on Wednesday, we were Christmas shopping!! (Christmas was on Thursday!) Of course, she was in her corificeat with a insulated cover over it and Mommy was either hobbling around or riding in the wheelchair that Daddy was pushing, but we got all our shopping done haha!! So maybe this year, I'll either get it all done beforehand or I'll get brave and take a newborn AND an almost 3 year old to the store...uhm...maybe not haha!

That's what the internet is for! I did 95% of my shopping online this year and it was a blessing. If you start early enough and keep your eye out for sales and free shipping it doesn't have to cost more than going to the store either. Congratulations and best wishes for your new baby!

Congrats! Even when we don't plan them, babies are precious. You have plenty of time to figure out how to fit this in - maybe that is why pregnancy is 9 months. You will have time to plan and recruit help. Also, remember that the hormones of pregnancy may contribute to feeling overwhelmed. Sometimes it helps to remember that. Try to make rest a priority for the first trimester when fatigue is common. You will be surprised at how much more productive you are after a short nap.

I just found out 2 weeks ago that I'm pregnant, I have my first appointmen in 1 week but I've had 4 positive tests. Anyway I'm really worried about protecting myself from all these kiddos. I've put a DO NOT ENTER sign on a plastic yellow table linen I used for a party and taped it on the entrance of my office. Sometimes these kiddos come in coughing and get right next to me to give me their clinic pass. Anyway I don't want to seem rude by keeping them out of my office but I have to keep myself safe of germs. Any ideas, my friend also suggested a string with a DO NOT ENTER sign . I guess the disposable table linen looks exaggerating.

congratulations!! that's great news!

my cousin's wife had a baby when their son was 22 months. they had prepared him well for his sister's arrival -- or so they thought. all went very well until the baby was about six weeks old. her big brother came stomping into the kitchen and asked mom how much longer until that kid went home to her house. this was his house! his mom explained again what a sister was and that she lived at their house too. he thought a minute, said "ok!" and off he went!:lol2::D
