i WAS JUST INFORMED ON MY ACCEPTANCE INTO L.A. HARBOR COLLEGE! i AM THRILLED:yeah:

i GOT IN PRETTY QUICK ALSO. THERE WAS NO WAITING LIST FOR LVN'S ONCE YOU COMPLETED THE LV-RN TRANSITION COURSES. I AM ON MY WAY:nurse:

If you guys are in the LA area why not go with WGU if you already have your LVN or CNA?

Congrats op. I also found out that I don't have to do the wait list either since I'm already a lpn. I also have a good gpa, so getting in will be easy breezy.

Congrats to all of you guys who got into the RN program!!! :)

I'm not a rn nor lvn student yet but i had applied to few community colleges for the RN program this year. But i heard the waitlist is riduculous so i'm thinking of applying to LVN schools to get that advantage of getting in later.. however, what's LVN-RN courses that you guys are talking about? Are they the pr-reqs to get into the RN program? (Micro,Anatomy,Physiology, etc.)

I finished most of my prereqs for the rn program. Once I complete the rest I only have to complete 2 semesters of rn school.

Wonderful!!! How were your prereq grades?

Do you have to live in a certain state? and is the program on line? for the LPN to RN? can anyone tell me what SRMC stands for? and what school is it affilated with?

Jana

Thank you. I feel lucky because the usual wait list is 1-2 years...YUCK! Being an lvn did have some advantage after all. There are hundreds of generic rn students whom I would have had to compete with, but my lvn license put us ahead of the line:lol2:

Thanks that's the confirmation i needed, i am a LPN in Pittsburgh and i heard that if you go thru the transition program it looks better and your chances are better good Luck and God bless !!!!!!

I'm an LPN starting the LPN-RN transition program in August here in FL.

The pre-reqs are the same as for the regular RN program, being LPN wipes off one semester of RN program. There is no waiting list at my college for LPN-RN transitional program.

If the lpn to Rn program is only taking 1 semester off , then why not just go thru from the beginning? Is it because of the entrance ( chances) ? Just wondering , i am not sure which way to go,,

I know that I am joining the bandwagon a little late, but congratulations on getting accepted into the program!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Congratulations!
