I got my acceptance letter for Cypress College Fall 2010

I was one of the ones that they called on the first day of class, so dont loose hope! Ncamp- You will stay on the chronological and points lists, so if you dont get in for the spring, you should have a really good shot for fall. That is what happened to me last year. I was not accepted for spring and was an alternate for the fall and still got in.

I didn't get a letter yet either lm. I had the same thought as you- accepted/alternates got their letters first and the ones they sent out today we bad news. Hope I'm wrong...

What version of the TEAS does Cypress College use? I want to purchase but I am unsure which one I should get. Thanks for your help in advance!

I was told they use v5 now. Good luck studying :-)

I'm an alternate as well and have to prepare for the TEAS test also. When I e-mailed Denise Vo last month about the TEAS version, she e-mailed back they use version 4.0. When I ordered the study manual on the website, they have version 3.0/4.0 so that's what I ordered.

I know you're gonna hear a lot of info from a lot of different people about the TEAS. For me; it was a whole lot of worrying for nothing.

@schoolie1: Thank you, I just wanted to confirm that I also called the counselor Kelly today and she told me the same as you. They are using V. 3 or 4.

Does anyone know what Family Night is all about and is it a mandatory session?

On our letters it said that Family Night's date was to be determined. I assume we will find out at the mandatory meeting on December 16th if not sooner. I'm not sure if Family Night is mandatory or not.

I had ordered TEAS v5 because I had heard from people that Cypress uses the latest version of the TEAS test... kind of upset at myself for jumping the gun before finding out for sure. I now have both versions of study material coming my way so I guess I'll just study both haha.

Derp. Sorry Schoolie I read your question wrong. Famly Night, from what I'm told, is where you bring your families and they talk to everyone about how time consuming this program is and how little they will see of us for two years :) I assume they include some more info about the program so that the families can better understand what we are going to be dealing with.
