Did anyone else get one. I'm looking to get to know some people for a study-group. All my friends got in last semester.
i just talked to them today and they told me that they are aiming for the first week of dec. does anyone know how difficult it is to get accepted into the nursing program? my grades are average but i have all the extra points.
I had to defer last semester. I waited 2 semesters. My GPA is something like 3.8 and I only have a B in Physio, A's for the others. If you dont get accepted, but are an alternate, you will more then likely get in.
i think they're going to accept 80 people? 1/2 spring 1/2 for fall. I would say a good 400 people at least applied, so acceptance rates would be a little under 20%? That's my generous guestimate, and 20% seems high and low at the same time lol.
I hope I get a letter by the last of November. I'm still on the fence on whether to apply to the Cal States, and the last of November would be the deadline =)
On a depressing note, I lost my job today. Guess I don't have to worry about working while going to school assuming I get in. Has anyone heard of people getting unemployment benefits while in school? That would be sweet..
The paperwork says they take a "minimum" of 40 students each cohort, so there's still the possibility they would admit over 40. Also, even though that admission percentage sounds daunting, remember that there are many factors involved. We don't know how many of those "400" have competitive scores. And for those that do have competitive scores, if they tie with another applicant, they first compare each students pre-req gpa...and if they're still tied, they look at who applied first. So the process is pretty dynamic if you think about it. Try not to worry too much guavaturtle- trust me, I know how u feel!! I'm sorry to hear about your job

Sept 1-15. You have to apply in person at the Health Science office. make sure you have all of your transcripts with you, they prefer that you submit everything at once. Apply early, they give each application a number, so if there is a tie in points, they go with the applicant that got their application in first. good luck!
