Hi to everyone!
I am new here at allnurses and the reason I joined is to learn, and be a part of the community. Reading inspiring stories and topics makes me want to work harder on my goals.
Recently I took the NCLEX test, but failed. I felt really depressed about it but my sister told me to not stop there and retake the test.
I hope some of you can read this and give me a few tips to pass the NCLEX on my 2nd attempt.
God bless you.
Hi
i am also a foreign nurse out of school for 6 years and mother of a 6 month old. Passed exam in 75 questions in first attempt when my son was 4 month old. If i could pass you could too.. Now my tips
1) limit your time on internet.
2) deactivate facebook
3) stop socialising and all kind of negativity for another 2 months.
4) do a chapter of saunders everyday
3) dont do pharmacology from saunders
5) after each chapter do as many questions as possible. Kaplan question helped me a lot.
6) in your spare time listen to helen feuers audio review. It helped me a lot.
Google helen feuers audio free download. Listen to few audios and if you like it purchase the audio.
7) i studied pharmacology from helen feuers you could buy just the pharmacology part for a small price. It is concised and to the point. Dont bother studying anything out of it. All my questions were from the feuers.
8) dont waste any time listen to your while taking a bath, cooking and eating.
9) make sure u read the rationale of every question you do.
10) psychiatry, pediatry and pharmacology listen to feuers they tell you how to approch a question.
11)make sure you read every question throughly.
12) above all pray consistently.
Good luck, you will be fine.
UWORLD. I swear by it. There is a free demo you can use. It's only 25 questions. The 30 day trial is about $60.I used Saunders when I was trying to find what worked for me, and I felt Saunders questions were too easy. UWORLD is most like NCLEX. The questions are very challenging, and there are detailed rationales. I am so sorry and I feel for you. You don't stop, try again ! You will make it ! You will pass. You are smarter than that test. You got this !! :)
Thank you for the tip! I'll check it out online. :) Some of my friends say that I need to practice how to attack questions, and answer at least 200 questions a day. NCLEX is really stressful!!!!!! but I won't stop until I make it. Thank you! I will claim it, second take and I WILL PASS!
