It's getting ridiculous already on how I keep trying for my NCLEX and still not working! What am I doing wrong?! I studied EVERYTHING!!! And i mean everything. I feel so dumb already. Right now I am in limbo.
Should I jump right back in with reviewing because I want to take the test again after the 45 day waiting period or take a break? I don't want to waste my time with waiting and at the same time I want to get my license this year. I am so tired of trying this is my 7th time and i still failed! I am running out of hope! It seems like God never wants me to pass! I am so hopeless and frustrated and so tired of studying.
The last test I took I ran out of time. I took the review from Delmar's and passed all my mock test. I can't seem to get a hold of my test anxiety! Can someone out there please hear me out. I am so desperate to the point where I'm an inch away from giving up
thank you very much nwatson83... right now I think studying won't help anymore because I tend to over analyze each question and every time I take it, I expect all the contents I studied will be asked and it ends up not being on there... so I tend to panic.. I will however get some help first with my anxiety and fix things...thank you
You're welcome no matter what do not give up!
I feel very sad for you.in my humble opinion i think you may want to take a break for a while, gather your thoughts, pray and read the bible ( if you do ) or do a reflection.there may be something missing in the equation that is causing you to be unsuccessful at this time.could be test anxiety?as you said you tend to over analyze things.all of us wanted to pass this exam..Breathe for a moment..recollect your thoughts and try to assess and see where all this is leading you. May Godbless you.
There's a big difference between taking it twice versus seven times. That's why a lot of states put a limit on how many times one can test.
I'm actually over hearing anything you have to say just remember you failed it before you're no better than the op... do not add me to your messages. Are you even a registered nurse yet.? If not lets hope you get there one day yourself.

So then I guess all the states are wrong who limit the number of times one can take the NCLEX. I'm already a nurse, so does it matter RN or LVN? I passed the boards once & will do it again. I've already been working for 4 years, caring for people. Obviously I know my stuff since I passed boards & got jobs. After I have my son, I will be bridging. But are you saying that RNs are better than LVNs?

OP I am so sorry you are experiencing such difficulties. Some states do not allow more that 3 attempts at passing the NCLEX. I think because you were educated in the Philippines and English is your second language you are experiencing the difficulties in passing the NCLEX common amongst IEN's.
I really think that you also need to seek professional counseling to deal with your paralyzing anxiety...this its treatable.
I wish you the best....((HUGS))
Look, nursing isn't for everyone, and if you had to take it 7 times... well... nursing is not for you. There is literally no reason to fail that many times.
Malenurse69 how can you tell someone to literally give up. Your very own doctor or nurse may have taken their exam 7+ times but in your eyes they're a very good doctor or nurse. You never know how many times someone has failed anything unless they tell you. There's plenty of people that knows the material but just not good test takers. Think about it. Never tell some to give up on anything. Hard work pays off. I'm praying you don't push negativity towards your kids.
I don't have a counselor yet and i think i might need one. I read all the refresher courses. I just don't know why i black out when i take the test. I passed all my pretests and have gotten even 67% on almost all of them i don't know why i just can't get it right.

Even if you think its ridiculous and stupid for me to fail that many times. I know how to not give up on something i love. I am not good with tests but i know i will be an excellent nurse. So if u think my failure is stupid please keep that to yourself.
I've taken piano lessons for many years. I love classical music, and the desire to be an accomplished pianist burns deep within me. But no matter how hard I practice or how many lessons I have, I just can't play the pieces I want to play, and I never advance beyond "intermediate."
You may love it, but clearly something is wrong if you've taken NCLEX 7 times and still haven't passed. It doesn't mean you're not intelligent, but it just may not be the right career path for you.
I love music, but I know I'm never going to play at Carnegie Hall. Heck, I couldn't even play in a beer hall.
Perhaps you should consider taking a refresher course. Maybe the people teaching the refresher course could help you determine what is preventing you from passing. You passed the tests you needed to pass to graduate from nursing school, so clearly you can take tests and pass them. This is more than just being a "bad test taker."

I wasn't insulting you (nor have I ever in this post), but if the shoe fits. If you read back there were other posters who felt the same. Once again, please seek help. If anonymous comments over the internet get to you, it's not healthy.
