I'm about to make a t-shirt with this, seriously! A&P lecture + lab, Biology II lecture + lab, and Fundamental Micro Lab... goodbye, social life! Made the decision to retake the TEAS at the end of the month (86.7% just doesn't feel high enough...).
Anyone else feel like you're constantly saying this to people? I love labs, but three in one day is intense! I felt like a zombie when I was looking at slides today in Anatomy... it was 5PM and I'd been in class since 8. I just keep telling myself it'll all be worth it!

Ha ha ha - swap out your bio for my chem and that was my schedule last semester! It is so exhausting. I always felt bad for my teacher at the end of the day because my brain was fried by the end of lab!

I've had that schedule too! Crazy! What is perplexing me this semester (first semester of nursing school) is that I'm in lab from 8-2 one day per week and get one (1!) credit for it!? And I am in another class called "nursing applications" for well over two hours per week and it is a one hour credit. I just don't get it...

The 1 credit isn't bad if you get a grade for it... what bites is if you only get a P/F for it! No credit towards your GPA with that even if you pull an A. I really do not like that concept. My first semester nursing lab was 5 credits and only P/F... urgh!

Yeah, the credits are bogus, tell any nursing student they aren't a full time college student because they are "only" taking 8 hours, and be prepared for a good laughing in your face.

I hate not having it count towards by GPA but I love the stress that P/F takes off of me. Out of 14 credits last semester, 4 of mine were P/F (I had two 1 credit labs and one 2 credit lab). Even though they were labs, we had theory tests, too. During weeks where I'd have two or three tests in my graded classes and one or two in my P/F classes, I'd prioritize the graded classes and usually lose all motivation to study for the P/F tests. Of course, without the stress, I'd do great on the P/F tests. The lab tests were much more straight forward (i.e. not NCLEX style).

Wow, good for you! That's a lot of hard work. I couldn't do it with having 5 children at home, but sounds like you're making it work!

Oh trust me, you'll be saying a lot more "I can't" once you're in nursing school.

yup labs are a mess. I got 86.7 also on the TEAS and I am getting nervous from your comment that it may not be high enough
I'm only concerned because my score's average accepted score is 88. My GPA is 3.73, which is slightly higher than average, but I can't get deferred.

I admire you for taking three labs!! Your Teas score would definitely be accepted in my school. That's an awesome score. What is the pass rate where you are going. Or the percentage rate you have to make to be considered. Here is like under 60.0 or right at that amount.
