I had it online and I really liked it. You have to be motivated though b/c you aren't getting a lecture. You have to be an independent learner. I enjoy learning on my own so I liked it, but my friend did it at the same time and hated it b/c she likes regular lectures. Good luck!

I took basic psychology (1010) online and it was the easiest class I have taken so far. My sister took human growth and dev. online and it was the easiest class she's ever taken.
But we both like the ability to go to school in our pajamas. :) You have to be pretty motivated.
Yes i am an independent learner also although i do like lectures(at times) and learning in a class room i just thought this would be a good class to take online i am taking it along with A&P 1 and 2

hi. i took human growth and dev. online last semester along with a&p1 (not online). we had weekly papers to write, 2 portfolio projects, a midtem and a final (on campus). the technology base we used (webct) worked well for the course and the professor actually understood the interface enough to help us with minor tech problems. also, since the professor talk the same class a lecture we had the option to sit in on classes if we needed clarification.
SO then i am not to worried anymore because i see alot of people have completed this successfully. My current schedule for the summer is:
1st 5 weeks A&P 1 + lab
2nd 5 weeks A&P 2 + Lab
full summer(12 weeks) Human G&D(online)
then i will have all my nursing pre req's done. If i dont get in this fall i guess im gonna take English COmp 2,Microbiology, Humanities elective and even though i don't need it Nutrition, Algebra improvements, Medical Terminology anything else i can take, then try to get into another school in Jan Or wait until fall 07 at my current school. I pray i get into the program this year though. Keep fingers crossed

I took Intro & Dev Psych online, and both were accelerated classes.
It's a bunch of reading, and will definitely be stressful with you taking A&P as well. I took Dev. during the last 6 weeks of my A&P 1 and made an A in both, but A&P was a full semester course.
However, you can do it with the right motivation, determination, & dedication!!! :balloons: :balloons: Good luck!

My school uses WebCT as well. I love it. Unfortunately, alot of the instructors have problems navigating the system. Makes things a little confusing sometimes!

This must be a popular class to take on-line. I took it on-line as well. I took it with Microbiology and Chem. I found it to be quite easy (especially compared to chem!), but think Psychology and writing in general are pretty easy. We had to write to papers and has a quiz after every chapter. To make up for not being in class we had to post on a forum discussing the chapter we had read for the week, I enjoyed the class, especially since some one in my microbiology class at the time said they had taken my teacher in person for general psychology and said he was super boring and monotone. Unless you have a hard time with writing it should be an easy class. Good luck.

My school offers this on-line, although I prefer the classroom setting. A number of fellow students I've known took it on-line and loved it. You just have to be motivated. Also, I noticed that they did not always have the same assignments as the classroom did.

I have taken both online and "school" classes". I can not imagine anyone taking A and P online but they do all the time. I took Human Growth and Deve., Nutrition, and Medical Terminology all online. Human Growth was by far the easiest for me, but I talked to other students who had different a different online teacher than I did and it was harder. I would suggest talking to some people at your school who have taken it and see who they suggest before signing up. I will do that everytime before I sign up for an online class now. It makes a world of difference.
God Bless,

Yeah i talked to a few people and they said that the physical(i guess that what you would call it) class is easy and is abunch of reading and they said it wuld be a good class to take online.
I wouldnt take A&P online either, from what i hear it is a class that needs the attention you can only give in person with the rest of the class and instructor, good for people who can and have, but i wouldnt be able to
