Human Anatomy / A&P I Club for Fall 2007

Published

I'm starting human anatomy next week, and would love to get a sticky started to keep each other sane. I'm a bit nervous about starting this class, as I really need an A, but work full-time and will also be taking abnormal psych. It's going to be a lot of work! :uhoh3:

Let's help each other out through this forum! :welcome:

So, when are you starting, where are you taking it, and how are you feeling?

Hi,

I just started A&P +lab last week. I thought it wouldn't be too bad. The lab is tough!!!

What are these? Where can I purchase them?

We have our first lab test tomorrow. I will be spending all day in our student success center going over all of our slides and moldels yada, yada.

I am so jealous of some of yous who are already dissecting and working w/ the cadaver. I will get my chance, just not yet.

You can get Netter's Anatomy Flash Cards on Amazon.com. Here's the link to them:

They also just came out with an Ipod version, which I'll bet is pretty cool.

For the beginning stuff, I'm making my own index cards, because there are so many definitions to remember!

Understatment of the year lol! :lol2:

Greetings Everyone ! I have also been lurking on this board for awhile and I saw this thread and decided to join. I start A +P this Saturday. I took this class back in 2001 and got a C+, with an incredibly hard professor. I am taking the class at Passaic Co. Comm. College in Paterson. I'm going to try and work hard for an A. I am currently an investigator at DYFS looking for a different career and something new !:uhoh3:

Hi All,

I started this past Wed. Sept.5th. My professor seems like he will be very helpful.

I will definately check out Amazon for a cheap skeleton and A LOT of index cards...........

Tks !!

Hey, I just finished my second week of A&P 2. I'm excited but overwhelmed at how much studying is required! I love the material though. I'm hoping against hope that I can leave this class with a 4.00!

hi, count me in please!!! started A&P1 last tuesday (sept 4) and had my 1st lab yesterday..pretty interesting but overwhelming!!!! i'm so glad i found this site to give each of us the support that we needed to pass this course, well, not just pass, but get an A...woohoo!!

need help w/ my homework, i can't seem to think straight w/ all these new language we're learning. i'm soo confused w/ homeostasis, need example of 1 negative feedback and 1 positive feedback...all your help would be greatly appreciated...

i need to study this weekend since i have a quiz on tuesday for both lecture and lab wahahhahaha

thanks a lot in advance!!

Negative feedback are the most common in the body - ex: you get a fever, your body sweats to try to cool down the body

Positive feedback is like childbirth - instead of the contractions stopping they get stronger to expel the fetus.

I'm starting A&PI on September 17th and I couldn't be more excited! Too bad I have to spend $270 on textbooks though. *grmbl* I'm taking this class online (like I'm taking all my other pre-requisites). I'm personally a big fan because there's assignments due every week! So I *have* to work in order to keep up - which is nice. :)

:balloons:Anyways, I'm so excited to join the club! :balloons:

I record each class, and then listen to them when I'm doing laundry, in the car, ect. It has really helped me a lot. I also like to use the companion website that the text has

Add me to the A&P I (& II) club for fall 2007!! I'm taking A&P I as an 8 wk intensive course, held all day on Saturdays, starting TOMORROW!! A&P II will start mid-October and run 8 wks until mid-Dec.

After reading some of these posts, I'm wondering what I'm thinking!?! :uhoh3: I'm working pt-time and have 2 active little girls (ages 2 & 4) so this is definitely going to be a challenge... looking forward to getting to know you all (and getting an A!!).
