HRSA 2021-2022

Updated:   Published

I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?

Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

Hi guys. For any old participants of the scholarship, when did y’all get your first stipend check? I guess I’m hoping we get it tomorrow. LOL ? but any idea when the funds may be disbursed?

November

I saw a few ppl on the facebook page say they got theirs this week, my rep said Friday when I submitted my confirmation transcript that it would be 7-10 business days. A previous years page said they started getting money the 20th with most people receiving it before November 1st.

Just wondering, I’ve been seeing posted about the transcript and I’m a little confused. I was never told I needed to send a transcript and I’m in my first quarter so I wouldn’t have a transcript yet anyway. The person at my school in touch with the rep from HRSA said I don’t need to send anything and she’s sending out the invoice. How did you guys hear that you need to sent a transcript and what happens if you just started the program and don’t have any grades/transcript yet?

Every session you will be responsible to upload a transcript or course verification. Since I’m claiming Summer classes I had to submit my grades for those classes via unofficial transcript thru the portal, it’s how we confirm we are actually enrolled. I would submit my schedule/unofficial transcript anyway so your payment doesn’t get held up. My analyst said that they reach out to request them after they have received your invoices. From here on out it is your responsibility to submit an unofficial transcript at the end/start of every semester.

OK, thanks! I guess that means the person at my school who’s handling it hasn't sent the invoice yet ?. I hope I don’t get the payment late because of it.

I agree - I haven't heard anything about a transcript, and honestly I'm not going to send one this semester (my first term in grad school). I am attending the seminar on Oct 21 and will be sure to ask about this. I followed all the directions on the welcome pack, and my tuition has been paid. They specifically state that payments for the stipend and ORC will be by November 15th, so I just simplified the process and am not expecting anything until November 15th. It will come. I also don't know who my 'analyst' is. . .if this is referring to whoever answers the phone when you call with questions, then I called once and they were marginally helpful with initial instructions. . .but I sure didn't get the feeling that they were my personal guide to this process. Sorry to sound negative, I just am frustrated as well with the confusion. My advice would be to attend the welcome session on Oct 21, then we will have the opportunity to clear the air about all these issues. Until then, I would just focus on your studies! We have the award at this point, so just keep your grades up and relax! And congrats!!

Your analyst is not the person who answers the phone, they are the specific person assigned to handle you and your case during this time. My personal page has my analysts contact information listed, and she has also sent me a few different emails (one of them being about the webinar). My analyst is also the one who sent me the email last week stating that she has received all required paperwork from my school and the only thing she needed was for me to submit my unofficial transcript to prove that I am still in fact enrolled in the program because we did apply in March-may and people’s situations have changed, maybe they failed a class, or any number of other reasons. I say submit the unofficial transcript now worst case it wasn’t needed beat case it was and you’re on top of it early which will process your payment faster. As we have all ready the latest date for payment is November 15 but there have been people who have received their payments already so not everyone will be waiting till the last minute. Obviously do what’s best for you though.

The very latest you will get the payment in November 15, like I said before my analyst told me Friday that she has everything now and it will take 7-10 days to process the payment

Absolutely no one has emailed me about being my analyst, I got the email from a general HRSA sender about the webinar. I'm wondering why some recipients seem to have VIP service and some are just out here winging it? The biggest thing was tuition for me, and it's been paid, so I'm not super pressed about getting my stipend asap.

IDK but my analyst reached out the first time on sept. 25 and has sent a few correspondence since then, and if I ask a question in the “ask a question” she responds promptly. That stinks that not everyone is having the same experience.

Hey,

So for everyone who hasn’t gotten a transcript request…I just called my analyst and he said that it’s because I didn’t attend Summer session so there’s no transcript to send. I’m only requesting payment from fall onward.

So if you haven’t received a transcript request it’s because you didn’t attend classes in the Summer. Hope this was helpful. I was anxious seeing everyone mentioning that they sent their transcripts.

Just got my tuition payment yesterday! My school submitted invoices on 9/23 or 9/24 and got my tuition paid 10/28. Also, there were 7308 applicants this year, and 220 were awarded!
