  1. Hello there. Do any of you know what happens to the tuition funds if they are not used after tuition is covered? I have a balance that I expected to be refunded to me but according to my school, HRSA didn’t indicate whether these funds are to be distributed to the student. They’re literally just sitting in my school account. I want to pay my loans but the money is not being released. Anyone know how this works?
  2. I completely understand where you are coming from. I too am the same way. I keep my issues to myself and I don’t like to get involved in gossip or things that don’t involve me either. However, the way I would’ve of approach the situation is by simply listening to her and give her a hug. Sometimes a gesture like this helps a person feel better in the moment. Maybe offer a little prayer? I wouldn’t be dismissive to anyone. You never know what that person’s state of mind could be. What if she was suicidal? She seemed like she was in distress. Anyhow that is how I would’ve of approached the situation. I’m not saying you are a bad person for the way you handled the situation. But our compassion for others shouldn’t be turned off after we “clock out.”
  3. Hi guys. For any old participants of the scholarship, when did y’all get your first stipend check? I guess I’m hoping we get it tomorrow. LOL ? but any idea when the funds may be disbursed?
  4. Question?? I know loans are reimbursed but who gets the funds? The lender or us? Do they pay them directly or are we responsible to pay them?
  5. Congrats! This is truly a blessing.
  6. Got my countersignature y’all! I’m so relieved!
  7. Are you a finalist?
  8. Are you a finalist? Congratulations. I am still in final review. I am getting anxious. God is in control. May His will be done. I am so happy for you. Congrats! I'm still waiting on mine. Still in final review. My nerves are shot. I can't focus but I am going to hold on to my faith.
  9. Let them try to accuse you, they are not going to win their case. You didn’t accept an assignment and they quit on the spot. Plus if you were hired as an at will employee, then you can leave if you want with or without notice just like they can let you go the same way. I know times are hard and it’s difficult to find staff but if you didn’t feel that the work conditions were safe, then it’s time to blow the lid on this joint. Good thing you got a lawyer.
  10. People are still getting finalist emails. They have until 9/30 to notify us. Many finalist still have not had their counter signatures either. So most of us are in the waiting game.
  11. Congratulations on getting both scholarships. That is truly a blessing. If I were you, I would go with the 40K you got from your school as well. If you have the ability to pay the remaining balance obtaining grants or loans, then go for that. Call HRSA and let them know your situation. They haven't awarded anyone so I don't think it would affect you as it's still kind of early. Well good luck with your future endeavors.
  12. Thank you so much. I had to go in my closet to pray and worship. I am leaving it in God’s hands. May His will be done. He knows my needs and He will provide.
  13. I still have not received a counter signature and I am really anxious. It's been hard to concentrate in doing my school work. I don't want to continue stressing out. I have been a finalist since 8/06/2021.
  14. I found it. You’re right, I was freaking out for a bit there. What I’ve claimed and declared for me in Jesus name is already given. Now we just wait. God is good, faithful and true.
  15. Is there a place where we can retrieve the contract? I don't remember if I signed a contract or not. Or does that happen after we get the final approval? Sorry, I am new to this.
