  1. The guide says at least 32hrs/week to be considered "full time" and then goes into detail how many weeks you can take off (I think it's 6 weeks).
  2. No, you get funding for your entire program time.
  3. The contract for funding for school runs from July 1 to June 30th every year. That means funding begins on July 1. If you are awarded the scholarship, you find that out in September/October time and they back pay from July 1 going forward. Therefore, you will only get your school paid for during July-August so only one month of payment. I would NOT accept this scholarship for only one month of payment (or even a semester). It is not worth the service commitment of two years. I will say, I began school in May of 2021 and was awarded the scholarship in September/October. They back paid for my Summer semester (May-August) but you do not receive the living stipend for months previous to July. I'm not sure if they are going to do that moving forward since the contract year is from July forward.
  4. You would only get one month of funding so definitely not worth the 2-year service commitment. The scholarship goes from July of every year. You also don't find out that you get it until September. I am a 2021 recipient for reference.
  5. Honestly no CRNAs have EVER been given this scholarship due to your super high wages that you'll earn. You will easily be able to pay back CRNA school loans so that's probably why HRSA considers them last. I don't think you can claim OB as a CRNA for this scholarship.
  6. Hey we're in the FB group together. It was said in the webinar! I just rewatched it today ? It was said towards the beginning.
  7. Just got my tuition payment yesterday! My school submitted invoices on 9/23 or 9/24 and got my tuition paid 10/28. Also, there were 7308 applicants this year, and 220 were awarded!
  8. Nope but it happened in the FB group for the finalists.
  9. For reference next year; some finalists were not accepted as participants because funding ran out.
  10. Yes. Your school just sends a Summer AND fall invoice. HRSA only gives you tuition for months prior to July btw, not the stipend for those months.
  11. I spoke to financial aid and they said we would get the money and use it to pay it off.
  12. https://www.facebook.com/groups/hrsa2021 here is the link to the facebook group. YOU MUST BE A FINALIST OR PARTICIPANT TO JOIN!
  13. Participant email!! WOoohooo!
  14. You will know if you got the scholarship for sure before September 30th. The money won't be dispersed until mid to late October though. If your school charges you for your scrubs in addition to your tuition then yes. If they don't charge you directly, that's something that comes out of your stipend or your own money. I would assume you already paid for scrubs though.
  15. Signing a contract means that it is legally bound, so there is a 99% chance you will get it!
