I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?

Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

Have you received any info, such as a finalist email (sounds like finalists got that email back in August)? I have been checking: to see if there is a countersignature on the last page of my 11 page application (no luck yet); clicking "Roles" at the top to see if Participant shows up; otherwise just trying to be present with my sweet family and my schoolwork and trust that it will all work out either way.

ARE THERE ANY FINALISTS OUT THERE WHO ARE STILL WAITING TO BE ACCEPTED? I am getting nervous. Not many days left in the month of September...

Hi everyone, I am a NP student and applied for the NHSC scholarship. I received my counter signature on 09/08 but have not yet received a participant email. I have looked into posts on some other sites and there seems to be a group of us who were all signed around the same time and have been waiting multiple weeks for a participant email. I was wondering if anyone else countersigned on that date is still waiting for an award email?

I’m in the same boat! Received mine on the 8th and have the participant role but when I try to sign up for that it says I’m already in the system! im hoping tomorrow we’ll get an email!

I am a finalist and literally got my countersignature today at 7am.

 

Keep the faith! I had to work closely with one of the program analysts for the past 2 weeks because my school is dumb and she stated they where very busy and still pushing decisions out and would be until the 30th. Theyre also short on program analysts that are going over the apps for finalists as well because everything has to be correct the first time or that delays funding of the scholarship. Bless her heart she would be still emailing me at 7pm cst. I say all that to say, KEEP THE FAITH, there's still a lot going on in the background even as this month winds down.

Me to I got mine at 6:55 PM today , been waiting since I turned everything on August 9th, on September 7th I got moved to participant without a signature and  couldn’t activate my account and was left on final review and I was so happy to see a signature to make it officially, waiting for that email so I can activate my account . Thank you for telling us , that had me check my account today and seen mine was signed , I’m so happy , congrats to everyone ?? Keep the faith god is in control

Question?? I know loans are reimbursed but who gets the funds? The lender or us? Do they pay them directly or are we responsible to pay them?

I would imagine the lender like you send the statement to the nurse corp and they pay them but don't quote me.

I spoke to financial aid and they said we would get the money and use it to pay it off.

Just wanted to update you that I got a second finalist email from HRSA today (????) and so resubmitted my docs. Fingers crossed I'm still in the running for this thing.

Hope all of y'all are well. Anyone else get notified/countersigned today?

Did anyone else just get accepted? I’m in the middle of the school year and have already taken out a loan. How is this process going to go?

So that's what Nurse Corps said would happen for a lot of people. They will reimburse your loan. Read through your welcome packet and also the original packet that was available when we applied. Also, congratulations!
