I haven't seen anyone start a thread about applying for this year's HRSA scholarships. I am waiting to see if I am accepted into a school in IL (fingers crossed!) and then I am going to start my application process for HRSA. The program I am applying to is a 16 months ABSN that starts in august! what about you all?
Have you been accepted some where yet? Still in the application process? Already started the Scholarship application?

I didn't hear anything yet but still have hope. I always had a passion for helping others especially the undeserved, there's many of communities that need you and appreciate you. I know you all will provide excellent patient care.? ..?? ..? ..? ..? ..? ..? ..? ..? .. ..? ..? ..
Keep holding out that hope! There is still a lot of time left. I hope that you you get that finalist email soon!

Keep the faith, you never know you might get that email today! Its already yours. Wishing you the best.
I have a question for anyone who might have a good answer (if my scholarship is countersigned, I’ll ask a representative if needed) — so the guidelines state “The health care facilities listed are Critical Shortage Facilities only if located in, designated as, or serving a primary medical care or mental health HPSA.” So in the HPSA search, if a hospital isn’t listed as a facility but resides in a geographical area with a score >14, would it still count toward the requirement?

It’s not about the geographical area it’s about the individual hospitals scoring level, just because they are in an underprivileged area does not make them an underprivileged facility. It must be an approved HSRA facility

This is on page 25 of the Nurse Corps guidance document. I would contact them regarding the geographical area because I'm in Montana where it's super rural and I'm seeing the geographical areas too. I think it has to be a designated DSH hospital for it to count.

Same, but I still have hope. In all fairness I submitted my application minutes before the deadline and they said they already started sending out denials. It just depends on if they got to your app or not. If I don’t get it I have another year to try.

I'm sure some people have but I'm just making the assumption that those who receive denial letters probably aren't reading/searching this forum. I think most denial letters come a few weeks before and after September 30th.
