I agree if programs cost $100k plus HRSA can’t give out as many scholarships. To get more nurses in underserved populations giving scholarships to programs 60k,50k and lower will get more nurses out to those communities.
That’s refreshing to hear and I do believe as well that this year there will be more funding since there is a need for nurses to serve in underrepresented communities to close the gap in healthcare disparities.
I do believe a large number of applicants will get the scholarship this year. More funding since it is a need for more nurses due to retirement and the pandemic. Biden also sweeten the pot (more money allocated). The government works like clock work...
