Has anyone on this forum received a denial letter?

I agree we all are praying, we all are worthy, we all for the most part have good grades, and we all have struggled due to the pandemic.

I agree if programs cost $100k plus HRSA can’t give out as many scholarships. To get more nurses in underserved populations giving scholarships to programs 60k,50k and lower will get more nurses out to those communities.

That’s refreshing to hear and I do believe as well that this year there will be more funding since there is a need for nurses to serve in underrepresented communities to close the gap in healthcare disparities.

I know what you mean but it seems like the first rounds are 80-90% applicants with EFC 0 being accepted.

I believe it is a factor but my guess is they extended the scholarship to get more applicants since Biden sweeten the pot.

Like clockwork is how the government operates. The site is down for maintenance Saturday 8-5pm so next week emails probably will go out.

I do believe a large number of applicants will get the scholarship this year. More funding since it is a need for more nurses due to retirement and the pandemic. Biden also sweeten the pot (more money allocated). The government works like clock work so this week and next week for sure we should hear something. July 16 2020 was the day on last years thread applicants said they got notified and since the 2 week extension this year the math says this week or next week for sure.

How many people on the forum have received a credit check from HRSA? The extension was two extra weeks so this week should be some type of notification?

I haven’t heard any news as of yet but they are doing maintenance on the website from Friday from10 pm to Saturday.

Does anyone have information on how many men apply for and receive the scholarship?

I used Nurse Hub as well and some practice test I found on the internet. I scored 95.6.
