Hrsa 08-09 Nursing Scholarship

I got the email too saying I didn't get it today.. But the other day I got the supporting docs to to give to my school

I got the same thing but I have gotten the letter and all the other emails.

I think they screwed up and sent it to everyone!!!

Glad I'm not the only one. I called the two ladies that sent the emails and left voicemails, plus I replied to the email that was sent saying I didn't get the scholarship... Sounds like everything is good. I'd think if something were wrong I would have heard something back after I accepted the scholarship

i also received the origianl email, the letters the 2 emails for documentations, and then today the email saying i didn't get it. it definitely sounds like the goofed and sent it out to everyone. & the call center phone line are probably going to be really full monday morning. but i will definitely be calling wanting reassurance that i did in fact get the scholarship. :no:

I got the e-mails and the official letter and the denial today in the e-mail. Unlike the other e-mails it is not from HRSA.gov it is from the call center and is not cc'ing other HRSA people so I think it is just an error and someone did not remove the receiptants e-mails from the e-mail database.

I am not panicked but I will call for reassurance on Monday if there isn't an oops email by then.

Ok so I have not recieved this denail email...is that a good thing? I did not receive anything YET(lol) saying that I did get it but I didnt get this new email. I waited til now and I still didnt. I wonder if that is a sign.....i hope so...:loveya:

I'm waiting here with you although I think our chances our slim. Not to be the downer, but....now, we need to reorganize ourselves and search for alternate options, right?! Do you have any ideas? There is the loan repayment program also through HRSA but I've heard that is very hard to get as well.......lemme know what you think.

well i heard of that and it sounds like a great idea....but i don't have any student loans...yet!!! I think that even if it is hard to get it is still worth trying...you know... :up:

Hillary,

Have you submitted your paper work to your school yet? Did you have them bill HRSA for the full semester or full 2008-2009 year? My finacial aid offercer seems to think that the scholarship doesn't cover the full cost. I told her it would cover my full cost for attending school. She is insisting that I get an exact amount from HRSA of how much the scholarship is worth. Are you having any problems from your school?

It is amazing how nobody at my school seems to know anything about this scholarship...the one person that had heard of it said she can't believe I got it because only one other student she knew of had applied and she didn't get it. It's making it a pain trying to get these papers filled out. Not to mention it's like they don't want you to get the money...If the government is gonna pay for anything my motto is just let them pay.ERRRR:yawn:

Hmm no, I submitted but I do think someone else at my school got the scholarship before.
