Hrsa 08-09 Nursing Scholarship

I thought I would start a thread for those who have applied, do that we can keep each other posted on what is going on with the process. Also here to promote tons of positivity for everyone.

Hey just an FYI to everyone waiting...I did speak with someone at HRSA last week (still don't know how helpful this is because they seem as in the dark as us:) and he told me that they are making awards right now so you should be notified by mail if you receive it and if not they'll notify you in October. This sounded to me as if they won't be updating the status online but rather sending letters. Hope this helps a little with everyone's twenty minute checking of HRSAs website (if you're like me that is):specs:

notice: the nsp on-line application was closed effective june 6, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. et.

applicants selected to receive a nursing scholarship program award will be notified between july 1 and september 30, 2008.

applicants not selected will be notified in october 2008, provided they submitted a complete application. welcome hillary -------------! thanks for registering with the nursing scholarship program. now, here's what you can do:

- make sure we have all of your required documents (including the on-line banking portion) to make your application process complete.

- just a reminder once you submit your application, you will be unable to make changes to your data. please take one more look before you submit.

- make sure we have all of your required information to make your application complete.

It's just a free form field where you can paste your curriculum from the school's website into the field. At least it asks you to do this, which HRSA told me to go ahead and do.

I just spoke with a guy a HRSA who informed me not to be alarmed if I did not receive the Nursing Curriculum link. He stated that some individuals who are approved do not get the link. He told me to just sit back and relax and wait for either the approval letter at the end of September or the email at the end of October. So.....Good luck to everyone!:D

Yep I think I am getting a different story each time I call, I have heard once that decisions were currently being made, then the next time I called this week, they said no they hadn't. I don't know.. I am getting nervous, and another week has passed.
