HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship 2020-2021

I havent seen a thread yet on this year's nurse corps application cycle & my anxiety has made me start one. I'm finishing up my application and should be done with it by today. I know its extremely competitive so honestly I dont think I'll get it but its worth a try! Who else has applied/is applying?

Does anyone know why they do a credit check with Credco... Is that done before or after they tell you that you’re a finalist

I got a finalist email but haven’t gotten a credit check.

I got a credit check from credco, but it says that it was from a rental agency. So I guess I am confused.

I think credco is just an agency that they use, I got credco alert yesterday and then an hour later I got an email saying I was a finalist

I was notified of being a finalist Thursday morning but didn’t receive a credit check until last night. So it looks like they’re doing both!

I received a finalist email last night as well! I'm curious if anybody knows how many people receive finalist emails vs receive the award. Is the finalist standard more of a formality to confirm interest and most people get the award or is there still a large cut to be made? If anybody knows...either way, congratulations to everybody!

Congratulations! I called because I had a question about a form. I tried to ask what it met and she said that as long as everything is the same from when you applied, you most likely get it. But she couldn’t guarantee.

That’s a good question... if they’re asking for direct deposit and filling out a W-4 forms then you pretty much have it, right?

Have you submitted required documents—enrollment verification form or direct deposit

I wonder if Credco is used to see if you’ve defaulted on any loans or have a current service obligation

I haven’t submitted the forms yet, I’m waiting for my school to fill out the verification form. But yes credco is probably used for that. If you don’t fulfill the service obligation, your subject to pay the government back so they probably want to check if you’ve defaulted before
