HRSA 2014-2015 Nurse Corps Scholarship

Hello everyone, This is my second time applying for this scholarship and hope to get it this time around. I got accepted into Pace nursing program fall of last year but because of lack of funds I had to postpone it for this fall. My overall GPA Is 3.4 and I have EFC of 0. I submitted my application today and now the waiting game begins:nailbiting:. Wish everyone good luck!!!!

I'm a dnp student in my second year in Florida. I haven't gotten any emails, and my status is "under review" and credit not checked. Efc was 0. It's at the end of August and I haven't gotten an initial email yet, at this point I've given up hope. I was told when I've called them in the past is if you're getting the scholarship, they notify you by the end of August. And if you don't get it, they notify you by September. And it seems like they're now sending final acceptance letter to people who initially got the "under final review" letter. I sound pessimistic but that's my reality. I've been following this thread and congrats to everyone who received the award. Thanks for the update everyone.

Where are you from what was your gpa and efc score?

I'm from New York, My GPA is 3.6 and my EFC is 0.

Last year, some people got their "participant" email in the first week of September. This year they're even further behind schedule, so I'm not going to worry if we don't get our final emails by the end of August....esp since the last day of August is on a holiday weekend this year.

Yes its the initial letter. They pulled my credit on July 30th so i waited an entire month haha it sucked waiting so long.

The email said I was selected to receive the award out of 0 people which was weird but everyone else said they got the same. They only gave me two days to submit paperwork but then I got an email asking me to do it by midnight the next day so I rushed around. I then received another email thanking me. He also said that nothing is "official" until I get my letter but I have nothing to worry about that I should see it within the next two weeks. Good Luck!! Theres still time!

I just found this forum. My credit was checked on July 31st and nothing yet my app still says under review has anyone from Az received the final congrats yet?

I just wanted to update that my status on the program portal changed from "In Final Review" to "Congratulations on being awarded." Hopefully everyone will start hearing more information soon and congratulations to all of the awardees!

I know I have been checking this thread like crazy trying to get any information I could on who had received the final welcome email etc. So I wanted to post my status change for everyone else that has been going crazy wondering. I received my participant email today when I left work at around 6:30pm (Eastern Time). I am so grateful for this scholarship and thankful that the waiting is over. I pray that everyone else that’s waiting hears very soon that they have been officially awarded the scholarship. Good luck!!!

Last year in BSN program

Got congratulations email on August 1^st (my anniversaryJ) but had to resubmit my acceptance documents like a week later

I'm pretty sure that Florida, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands have the same reviewer. If anyone in this region has been awarded the scholarship could you please advise? No one from the VI has received any communication as of yet.
