HRSA 2014-2015 Nurse Corps Scholarship

Published

Hello everyone, This is my second time applying for this scholarship and hope to get it this time around. I got accepted into Pace nursing program fall of last year but because of lack of funds I had to postpone it for this fall. My overall GPA Is 3.4 and I have EFC of 0. I submitted my application today and now the waiting game begins:nailbiting:. Wish everyone good luck!!!!

Does anybody know if each state has it's own reviewer. Or is there a compile reviewers per region like a couple people for the tri-state area as a whole. I see that people are hearing things in New Jersey and I'm in PA so I'm not sure if Pa has started giving acceptance to anybody. Anybody in PA hear anything yet? My accelerated program starts on the 20th and I can't go without this because private loans did not want to give me enough and this is my second bachelors.

I fought so hard for this seat in the program that only accepts 28 people out of hundreds of people. It's just so upsetting that money always gets in the way :(

Did they check your credit yet ?

No they haven't that's why im starting to lose a little hope. It's scary

Nursing16: you said you were from Md right? Have they checked you credit yet?

Nursing16: you said you were from Md right? Have they checked you credit yet?

Yes I'm fromMaryland and they checked my credit on July 30 th

Same here! But my status still says "under review" ughhh... I hope we hear back something soon!! I'm so nervous I've been checking my email like every second haha...

Yeah I'm anxious to know either a yes or a no ! Geesh lol

Well at least they checked your credit! Im in Maryland too, but no credit check (yet?!) :(

It's still early so don't give up hope !!!!!

In pa here, saw an email today about credit check, almost died logging on.... it was only my bank checking :(

I don't think I can wait for much more and keep my sanity lol

Haha at this point I don't even know if a credit checked means anything!!! So we are all in the same boat.. Let's just keep hoping like nursing16 said it is still very early to give up!

It's really hard to wait though, I agree. Still no credit check on my part either (NY). Feeling less hopeful and more anxious. I thought I had a good shot since I have almost a 4.0 and, since I'm first in my class so far and the tutor for our program, my instructor wrote me a great recommendation. But I feel like I won't be getting it. :/ it's gonna be a tough year without the extra help!

My program even added an extra $500 fee this year to "cover costs." This is instead of the $190 lab fee we have had in the past. Big difference but no difference in what we will be getting as students. Ugh.
