HRSA 2014-2015 Nurse Corps Scholarship

Hello everyone, This is my second time applying for this scholarship and hope to get it this time around. I got accepted into Pace nursing program fall of last year but because of lack of funds I had to postpone it for this fall. My overall GPA Is 3.4 and I have EFC of 0. I submitted my application today and now the waiting game begins:nailbiting:. Wish everyone good luck!!!!

I know in years past they did this by region...haven't seen anyone from the south so I am still holding hope.

Has anyone from Missouri heard anything back yet?

I'm in Missouri, too, and haven't heard anything yet. Are you a MSN NP or BSN student? Im NP, but my EFC is over 5500, which is making me very worried, especially since my EFC is based on 2013, and since then my hours have been cut back at work & I'm having to look for a second job...I am making less than half what I made in 2013.

Does anyone know if it is possible to update your EFC to reflect special circumstances such as drastic change in income?

I am accelerated-BSN. I am in the same boat, though. I am considered a dependent because I was born after 1990 and was not emancipated, but I have been on my own for at least 6 years. My EFC also does not reflect the amount of money I personally make to support my education. I don't think you can do anything to update your EFC, but it would be helpful. I am also beginning to be very worried, since I haven't heard anything. Perhaps they haven't gotten to Missouri yet.

Hi all. I just read every single post (I know crazy right?) I just wanted to chime in. I monitor my credit closely and have not gotten hit w a credit inquiry. I also have not heard anything as of yet although I check my email so much some may say it's neurotic lol. I have a 3.89 and an EFC of 0 and am going into my senior year of an Accelerated BSN program in NY. I don't have tons of community service under my belt but had glowing recommendations and I think good essays. Just wanted to share my piece. Not keeping my hopes up too high but will keep my fingers crossed. Congrats to all who received emails and good luck to all other applicants!

I received my Congrats email on August 1 and just uploaded my documentation. Thank you God! I'm in Michigan with a 3.97 GPA and an EFC of like 384. Good luck to everyone still waiting, and I'm praying that all of us in "final review" status will turn to participant soon. :-)

My credit was checked on July 31.

I'm in florida also! No credit check here and no word of anything! Anyone else in florida hear anything?

I am in Florida and have not received a credit check and my status is under review. Luckily, I am in my third semester and have received other scholarships. However, I would like to be awarded because of the monthly stipend. As a previous author published, do not put all your eggs in one basket.
