Hello everyone, This is my second time applying for this scholarship and hope to get it this time around. I got accepted into Pace nursing program fall of last year but because of lack of funds I had to postpone it for this fall. My overall GPA Is 3.4 and I have EFC of 0. I submitted my application today and now the waiting game begins:nailbiting:. Wish everyone good luck!!!!
So how bad is it that my credit wasn't checked? I think I read somewhere that people whose credit didn't get checked still got the scholarship in the past - is that true? Happy to hear some of you are getting hints of good news :) hoping I still have a shot...
edit: found some posters last year who got the scholarship without a credit check. Whew, hope isn't lost!! Still crossing my fingers for all of us!
And by the way, reading last year's thread is just plain stressful. People were awarded the scholarship in clusters over the course of weeks. Some heard in late July and others didn't hear until late August. Some who were rejected didn't know for sure until late September. This might just make me crazy, haha...
Hi, all! I've frantically read this entire thread this morning trying to uncover any clues about this application process. I live in NOLA with an undergraduate GPA of 3.23 (chemistry) and a graduate GPA of 3.67 (MPH) and an EFC of 0. I saw a lot of people posting about community service. Are yall just referring to what is on our resume/CV or was there some sort of application portion regarding this? If so, I don't remember completing it. I did get a credit check this morning. I know scholarship recipients cannot be in default on any federal student loans, but I am unsure if this is something they do for everyone or just those they are interested in awarding.

Hi guys! I have been checking this forum a bunch for the last several months, just wanted to let you know my credit was pulled today (a hard inquiry according to Credit Karma). You guys should check too!
