How old were you when you started nursing school?

The wonderful thing about nursing is that it is open to everyone of all ages. Please give a cheer to all the people who believe that age is not a factor in learning. And, to all the people who strive for knowledge regardless of age. How old were you when you started nursing school?

I started when I was 17 ? now 22 and been a qualified RN for a year

i started 16 and now a registered nurse at the age of 20 ?

I have been accepted into ADN at 50 and will be done at 54.

If I get accepted, I'll start my post-baccalaureat BSN program at 37. The good news is I'll finish when I'm 38 and hopefully become an RN before I turn 39 :)

Im 27 starting my ASN and get done when im 29. When I start my BSN and finish I will be 31.

Thank you for this cute cartoon! I am a pre-nursing student ( age 43) and this will be my second career. Love that there are nursing students of all ages! ?

I was 28 when I started, had a successful training/education career... but I was tired of the grind.

Now I am about to graduate with my BSN after 18 months in an online RN-BSN and I keep asking myself, why?!

Started in September at 40, will turn 41 on Sunday. Definitely the oldest, have the most kids (6), been out of school the longest (15 years), commute the furthest (65 min each way)... we shall see how this goes!

Thank you so much for the encouragement. You're an inspiration to me as I always think I'm too old to pursue my dream. I'm barely going to start working on my requirements to do the CNA program. I'm finishing up my externship as a Clinical Medical Assistant, but my heart is in Nursing. I will be 40 yrs old by the time I graduate LVN school. I'm very excited thank you again!
