How old were you when you made the choice to become a NP?

Hi everyone! I started school to get a BSN at age 26, I was just wondering what a "realistic" age is to go back to school if I did in fact decide to pursue becoming a NP.

How old were you when you started?

I am 21 applying to entry level masters programs to become a NP. I hope my young age doesn't work against me, but my ultimate dream is to become a nurse

I made the decision back in 2012. I am currently starting a BSN program. I will graduate in December 2015, and I hope to be starting a FNP program at UA via distance education by August 2016.

I am 23 and will graduate when I'm 26. Some people might not like it, but what I don't have for experience I work my tail off to make up for studying and reading research. I feel I can be successful in school and be young. It's up to you and what you think. I'm going after my FPMHNP.

Made the decision when I was 28 and decided that I don't care todo physical labor for a living. Also it will make my mommyhood plans easier with this degree vs bedside nursing. Spent 2 years applying and being rejected. Got into TAMUCC this round (first time I applied with them) start in Aug at age 31

27 and will finish 28. I started nursing at 24. I had a previous degree before that.

24 when I started. 26 now, graduated 2 weeks ago, test in about 2 weeks.

I became a RN when I was 26 and I'm starting a MSN program at 28. I'll be done when I'm 30. Hoping to one day get my DNP, maybe around 35-38? I want to have some kids first! Lifelong learning, right?

I was 22 when I got my BSN and first nursing job. Started My NP program at 26 and will graduate this year at 29 years old.
