I thought it would be interesting for all of us to share our ages. I'm 27 and I'm pursuing nursing as a second bachelors degree.
you inspire me! I am 47 and contemplating whether or not I should give nursing school a go. I have always wanted to be a nurse but my other career, marriage, kids, life..... kept getting in the way.
Did any of your first bachelors/ courses count towards the nursing pre requisites? I really appreciate your input!

Go for it! 39 here...
I have a BS from 2001, and a lot of my science/math/gen Ed transferred. And then the was a lot that transferred as electives. I am finishing up a few pre/co requisites this semester (took classes last server too).

I know your post wasn't directed at me, but I wanted to say: GO FOR IT! I'll be 47 when I finish, but I'll be 47 whether I do it or not, right?
I also have a previous Bachelor's degree and many of those classes carried over for the ADN. I'll be pursuing an online BSN when I'm done with the ADN - it was the fastest, most economical road for me to take.
Good luck to you!
Just turned 35. Graduated with my first BS in 2005 and have been working as a vet tech for just under 9 years. I've thought about going into nursing for I don't know how many years, but it's daunting at this stage of my life. My husband and I just had our first (of hopefully 2 or 3) kids last year. My daughter is just about to turn 1 now, and I'm struggling to overcome my fears and concerns about returning to school at this stage of life with a kid that's not even in school yet. Plus, I work nights and don't get much sleep as it is during the day with my daughter. It's going to be super tough to balance getting through school (once I actually get in and get going), working full time, and still trying to be a wife/mother to whatever degree I can. Super stressed about that, but I'd rather look long term and sacrifice for a little while so that me and my family can have a better life. We get by financially right now, but not much saved. I love my current job, but there's just no upward growth in this industry.

Getting my ADN was my second degree, achieved that in fall of 2014 at age 24. My previous was just a associates degree in natural sciences. I didn't do any jobs with that degree as nursing was my major. I just had simply qualified for the AA while waiting to get my ADN. Just started an online BSN program right now and currently age 26, soon to be 27.
