I got out of my 1 year second degree BS program with about 75K in loans.

Yeah, you read that right. Some of it's living expenses, but still.

My $28,000 does not include living expenses, books, stethoscope (all those type things), day care, gas for the 110 mile round trip daily commute, etc....

Question...you had $75K in loans, how do you/did you pay them off? I am worried about this as I will have a lot in loans as well.

Specializes in med/surg/tele/neuro/rehab/corrections.

LVN program total $2,500 which included books, uniform and scrubs for lab. :) not too bad

The Community Colleges are $20 a unit when LVN-ADN step up.

$1300 a semester, roughly depending on number of credit hours.

Specializes in Dialysis.
I attended a Southern California fast-track LVN program in 2004 and 2005, and the tuition was $19,995 for 1 year.

I now attend a community college in Texas, and the tuition is $50 per credit hour. I am currently enrolled in 17 credit hours, so my tuition is $850 for this semester. Books are entirely another story.....

North Dallas: I pay 18,500. 16 month LVN, nights and weekends. includes books, 2 sets of uniforms for clinicals, immunizations(if needed), 2 drug screens, uhh, stethoscope! and a 3 day NCLEX-PN review course. it's pretty nice.

COMMUTER, are you bridging? (Good for you!) Where are you going? me and the classmates talk about "when we can bridge" and where, all the time. So far, I think the girls have found el centro, trinity valley (in Kaufman?) and twu. I heard UT-Dallas but I couldn't find anything about it.

my sister had 90,000 bucks in loans to pay back once she got out of regular college, then this accelerated NP program. She got a great job at the Mayo Clinic, and they are now all paid off. lots of jobs have tuition reimbursement, or loan repayment, as long as you agree to work for the company for X amount of years.
