I just graduated 3/18/11. Now im just waiting to take the Nclex. Its nerve wrecking. How long does it take for you to be contacted on average and how were u contacted.

Specializes in geriatrics.

It took 3 months, but CA is slooooow. The classes that graduated just before mine were waiting 8 and 9 months, so we were lucky. I got a big white envelope in the mail with my ATT, then I had to wait until my school could register me. I took it 3 days after I was registered, got my results back in 1 month.

Specializes in Pulmonology Clinic.

Wow! In MO we registered to take the NCLEX ourselves. I graduated in Dec and the next test time was the following Feb. Luckily we can get online 2 days later and learn our results! I can't imagine waiting a month!!!

I took mine a month after graduation. Used the quick results and found out in 2 days !

thanks u guys for ur input, here in nj the pearson testing center is in contact with the board of nursing and when they approve us they contact pearson and pearson sends us a letter in the mail and email with a link that we go to, to schedule the test. Sounds confusing, thats the answer i just got from my school. but im patiently waiting and waiting and waiting.

I took my LPN boards in VA. Two or three weeks after taking the test, I went on VA. Board of nuring's website, & went to licensure lookup. I looked up my name & social security number & found my license. I seen that it was an active license & realized I'd passed! I got a letter from the board about a month after finding out myself... lol

Specializes in Sub-acute, Rehab.

I graduated almost the last day in January got my ATT about the second week of February, online by the way. The only day in february to take the test was the next day so I scheduled it for the second of March. All online, printed out the info I needed to take with me. The next day at about 9 am I went to the PA state board of nursing and there was my name with my license number. Wasn't too bad at all. It's the finding a job that's killing me. :) By the way this was all through Pearson Vue as well. Good luck and just remember to study.

:nurse: I graduated at the end of November. The school I attended submitted our paperwork to the BVNPT (in CA) the day after graduation.

Anxiously awaited hearing from the BVNPT and figured it would take a while due to the holidays and mandatory furloughs.

I heard back from the BVNPT with the ATT by the middle of January. I figured I could use 2 solid wks of review so I registered w/Person Vue ASAP for the next earliest test date which was February 3rd.

It took 3 wks for the official results, I submitted my check for $150 and received my official license less than 2 wks later.

Specializes in LTAC, Wound Care, Case Management.

I graduated 3/9/09 from a FL school. Received my ATT on 3/23/09 and took the test 3/27/09. Received my results on Mon March 30. I don't recommend taking the test on a Friday. That was the longest weekend of my life!!

Good luck to you!!!

Thanks I already made the decision not to take it on a weekend i cant take the wait...lol
