Hi I was curious to see how much schools are everywhere else... i'll start off with mine..
2008 Lancaster, CA $22,000 (I feel I paid to much:crying2:)
The LPN program I was considering here in Chicago was a private institution and the tuition was around 30-35K depending on if you need pre reqs, and that's not including uniforms, books, supplies etc..I feel this is way too much for a diploma program!! I mine as well take the ADN route and pay half of that cost with a 2 year degree..
My program costs 3k for tuition, and with all fees/uniforms/supplies/books ends up between 5k and 6k. It is VERY small though, and only takes the top 30 candidates twice a year for their full-time LPN program. It definitely feels more cost-effective. Better to study hard and do well in testing than simply throw up your hands and pay ten times more for a guaranteed-admission private school. My program is tough, but the NCLEX pass rates are almost perfect. Only one person in the last four classes didn't pass the first try!

Hello to all,
I'm in South Florida and will be entering a program here through one of the public vocational schools. There are 3 in a short raduis of me, and gladly all are accredited. The prices are very reasonable, being no more than $4500. There are no wait list to any of the three, so they are first come first serve and TEAS test baised.
I was looking into a new private school a city or two away from me, and there price is $12,000 and they aren't accredited.
In my area i've observed that the schools that are costing these high amounts are private and mostly not accredited. If you have another option I wouldn't advise anyone to pay that amount for LPN school. For that price you can do LPN, RN, and maybe something else.
Best of wishes to all! :-)
