Hey everyone,
Just out of curiosity....... do people really keep in touch after nursing school? I always hear that everyone met their best friend in nursing school, and i'm not sure i'll be that person
Have you guys kept in touch with your college mates, or is it just a lot of hype?
Thanks!
I go to dinner and a movie with my friend every few weeks. I just went to lunch with three friends for two of our birthdays 6 weeks ago. Last month I went to lunch with a friend and breakfast with another friend. My friend that moved away, we keep it touch on the phone and my friend and I (the one I go to dinner and a movie with) are planning a trip to go see her some time soon. It will not be the first trip we have taken together. Back in Sept we went on a shopping trip and stayed in a Hotel for two nights. Many people on here will tell you you will not keep your nurisng friends. I asked your same question my senior year when I was worried about loosing my nursing friends...the ones that I am the closest ones I keep in contact with and it does take effort but I am so glad I do it.
Wow. I am so, so sorry for you. What a horrible thing to happen. I hope he or she had to pay major retribution for that selfish, stupid, disgusting choice they made to drink and get behind the wheel.
CFitzRN, Thank You for your Concern.....
FYI...
The Drunk Driver's (He) case is to be in the Court System soon.
In this State, the most he can get is 5 years....FIVE YEARS!!!
J.....'s Life was worth more than this!!!
I'm hearing that State Laws may be changed due to this case.....
Don't ever take your Dearest Friends for granted.......:redbeathe
Excellent advice, for sure. I pray J's case will change the laws to provide for FAR more serious consequences than that. What a mockery. I can't imagine being J's family and knowing this person will be out in 5 years to live his life as if nothing happened. I also pray he has remorse and will change his life for the better - and maybe even use his experience to change others' lives.
oh how i hate drunk drivers...i almost got killed by one while in nursing school but sorry for the loss of your friend=(
Thank-You for your words of Kindness, marielina85......
So you were almost killed by a drunk too, huh??
Well, I'm glad that you weren't killed.....
I hope your health is OK & that you don't have life long injuries as a result of your accident.....

I would be very surprised if anyone from my nursing class or from previous work places ever got in touch with me. I have had contact from stalker secret admirer(s) before. I find that to be unnerving. You can run but you can't hide.
