My program is rather small with only 170 or so students. I don't know everyone, obviously, but I know of at least four people (and rumored at least six more) that have either left the program or have flunked out. It saddens me that people are forced to sit out the rest of the year and wanted to see just how common or how uncommon it is to lose people so easily.
Started with 72 and lost exactly 50% after first semester. We gained a few folks this semester (2nd) that didn't pass it their first go round. We'll have to see how many folks make it on to the 3rd semester. First semester is usually the worst as far as people failing out or just quitting from what I understand.
We had around 33 starting, 11 failed out in the first semester (Spring), 1 left, and another failed Pharm in the summer and we gained 3 LPN bridges'. We thankfully didn't lose anyone this fall semester but a lot of people were on the borderline. Hopefully we'll all make it to graduation Dec 2012!!

We started with 60 first semester and lost 5-6 by (the current) second semester. We gained 15 LPN students, but I'd imagine we'll probably lose at least 8-10 this semester, as it has been pretty difficult for a lot of people.
