How many miles/minutes do you drive to work?

Published

The title says it all! How many miles are you from work, and how long does it take you to drive there?

I work 4 miles from my home, which is about 10 mins or so through downtown, and 11 stoplights, so sometimes longer than 10 mins. I just happen to live near a large hospital. i would not be opposed to driving for a good job, and am actually considering a job that is a 45 minute drive from here.

23 mins bout 14 miles

20 minutes. I travel in opposite directions of rush hour traffic; gotta love it. I get giddy knowing that I'm doing 75mph and the people on the other side are doing 15mph.

7miles, but it takes me 25-30mins, a lot of traffic lights, two school zones and residential area on the way

I work 47 miles from home, takes about 55 minutes. The company I work for has built a hospital 5 minutes from my house but they have put off opening it. Wish they would hurry up already!

5 mins, 1.2 miles Sooooo nice when coming home at 10pm after a hard shift.

1hr 35 min/104 miles. The commute is killing me but I need the experience so I'll stake it out for a year or 2...

I walk actually. I have the blessing/curse of living 4 doors down from the facility I work at.

You're so lucky! I live 23 miles/33 minutes away from work, all county roads until last 2 miles!

9.5 miles according to GoogleMaps, and anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes depending on traffic and school children (during the week, my exit onto the highway intersects with a high school's crosswalk!). I live in an area saturated by hospitals and while it's not the closest one, it offered me a job and I like it there.

I'll echo others and say it's way closer than clinical sites ever were for me. :D

i live about 35/36 miles from work. it takes me about 30-40 minutes to get there. i live in a very rural area so other than the small clinic about 15-20 minutes away that's about as good as i'm going to get. of course i work home health and have to drive 50-75 miles (average) after i get to work, but i don't suppose that counts:d.

15-20 min of rural driving.

My first job right out of nursing school was an hour and a half of highway (65+mph) driving.

I live 63 Miles 1and 1/2 hrs each way. Rural living has its downsides also but I love my job :)

40 minutes each way. It's getting old and thinking going for lesser pay and less miles to drive.
