I attended a private LPN/LVN program at a trade school in 2005. The class started with 24 students, and 22 actually completed the program. In other words, only 2 people didn't make it.
I wouldn't worry too much about bonding with classmates in school. You'll meet people who are worthy of bonding at every life stage.
The first day of class was orientation and there was 65 students. The NEXT day we were down to 48. I guess some people decided that they couldn't handle the work load that was discussed and didn't come back (which sucked because SOMEONE wanted in and they lost a seat to these people). As of right now we are down to 28 with two people that are in for the second time and we graduate on March 6th. The last of the people that were in the program that had everyone wonderig how they made it this far (barely passing with a C the entire program) failed out last month.
They did the whole look at each person sitting beside you and say good bye to one of them because they WON'T be there on graduation during orientation and it's true. The LPN program is hard (my instructors teach it like an RN program because they want us to go on and so we'll be use to those methods of learning). It's a lot of info in a short amount of time. Just don't fall behind in your studies and readings and you should be fine. If you feel yourself slipping ask for help BEFORE the test because if you wait until after it could be too late.

I just started lpn program in Miami, FL and alot of my classmate are failing there tests. I have about 14 classmates, from your expierance how many actually made it or are left in your class. I am afraid that I am soon going to lose half my class and I really have bonded with all my classmates. Is lpn program really that hard to pass?
