I just started lpn program in Miami, FL and alot of my classmate are failing there tests. I have about 14 classmates, from your expierance how many actually made it or are left in your class. I am afraid that I am soon going to lose half my class and I really have bonded with all my classmates. Is lpn program really that hard to pass?
I attended a private LPN/LVN program at a trade school in 2005. The class started with 24 students, and 22 actually completed the program. In other words, only 2 people didn't make it.I wouldn't worry too much about bonding with classmates in school. You'll meet people who are worthy of bonding at every life stage.
If you dont mind my asking ...where did you go to school ? That is if your allowed to say.....Also what was your experience like ? I did start Extened Health Education back in 2002 I think ...even started clinicals..( just a month in clinicals ) long story short had to drop out ...mom was very ill, hospitalized for a month ,didnt think she would make it but i am very happy to say she is still with us today:wink2: I am looking to go back and looking for some insite and it sounds like your school might work
Thanks

First of all, I'm in a magnet high school program. My high schools offers a chance for students to get an education in the Medical field. My LPN class started out with 22; only 17 students are left and when we graduate high school and go on to college (well, I'm staying back to finish my LPN program then go to college. Some students in my class are doing the same.) there will be only... maybe 13 or 10 students... idk.. :uhoh21:

We started out with 32 students during 1st quarter. Now we are in 4th quarter, and we are down to 24 of the original 32. A couple were kicked out for insubordination and one for cheating. Most of the others left for personal reasons.
If your program is as fast-paced as our program is, it is hard to pass. Right now we have 4 classes, 4 hours each that meet back-to-back on Mondays and Tuesdays, with clinicals on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Between all the homework, studying for tests, and writing care plans/drug cards and papers due for clinicals, it's crazy! But we only have 6 months left before graduation and we keep our eyes on the prize!
Hang in there...you can do it!:wink2:
We started with a whopping 36 and we have 19 left. Maybe 18 because of some pending circumstances with one of the students. Our graduation is May 29th so we could lose another. Who knows. I think all that are left are pretty dedicated, though. We were warned in the beginning that statistically only about half would make it through and people were so upset. Guess what? They were right! Good luck to everyone out there that is still in their PN class!! I know I am going to need it for my NCLEX in June! :uhoh21:
