Hi all I graduate the 18th of this month. So I figured i'd tell you all what I might have needed to hear in the beginning. You can do it BUT you have to read and study. First thing you should learn is how to critical think, it'll make your experience go smoother. In the beginning, middle, and almost end you'll be hating life. But at the very end you'll be wondering what you're going to do without all the friends you've made and the routines you acquired. Help your classmates so that your classmates will help you (make study groups and stuff) it'll make it easier to learn and remember everything. So good luck to everyone. ok so i graduate the 18th of this month (april) yay me!!!! but i'm not going. not because i'm rude but because i am so broke that i can't afford to buy the dress, shoes, and all that jazz. i am at the point where i'd rather buy food than go to the ceremony. i didn't want to tell my classmates because i know they'll offer to pay for me. i really don't want that so i had to lie and say i was leaving town as soon as i finished. so i guess my point is that although i would probably look silly in my dress and cap i would love to be able to have those pictures and get my cap signed by all the people who helped me get through this year and frame it with my certificate. so just think about it that way. it might be a good memory later. good luck

hi all, i graduate in 2 weeks from the lvn/lpn program. it seems like there isn't really any chance to work in an acute setting. i'm afraid of that cause it may sound awful but i don't want to work in a skilled nursing facility. i'm one of the top students in my class (i don't know how that happened) but it seems like every job i can find is looking for someone experienced in an acute setting for atleast a year but i don't see how i would be able to get into an acute setting. does anyone have any advice or suggestions on how or what to do that would help out. i did the lvn/lpn program before the rn because i have 2 kids and i wanted to work while i go to school. thanx alot in advance :plsebeg:
