Most of my friend who took the NCLEX with select all that apply question passed the exam. Just one mistake it will not considered right. Some of them got 10 questions and passed. Is this considered or indicate that you are doing good and reach the highest level of difficulty on the NCLEX Exam? I'm having a hard time having this type of question on the NCLEX.
:redbeathe Hi I took my exam last august 14th and I got 75 questions and believe it or not i got 35-40 select all that apply auestions and I thought I failed. I even cry at the car and kinda hyperventilated coz the questions were really hard but thank God I pass!Im now a registered nurse here in california so guys dont worry so much if you got a lot of selct all that apply questions there is hope!:redbeathe:redbeathe:nurse::yeah:
that was alot!
what does it mean if you got lots of SATAs? does it mean you are getting the wrong answers? i got 5 SATAs.. sigh!
Not really, some people theorize that SATA questions would mean that you are above the passing standards thus, a more difficult question is given (and I don't think a multiple response is anything easier than a standard multiple choice). This theory is very popular if you are from the Philippines. I seriously believed in this theory but when I sat the NCLEX-RN exam, I didn't get any alternate question type at all; and to think that I studied an entire workbook focusing on alternate type questions (But heck, better be sure than sorry). This caused a major distress on my part and I can't help but worry as to why I didn't get them SATAs.
In the end, I passed. I was given 75 "standard" type questions, which is the multiple choice. I don't believe in this theory anymore because of my experience. I'd say that the alternate question types pop out randomly.
Relax my friend, chances are, you fared better than you think. Just leave it up to prayers since you've already done your part which is studying for and sitting the exam.

jmolina's experience is evidence that there is no relevance to the types of questions offered on the exam. Prepare for all types of questions, including SATA, and one should be sufficiently prepared.
