i am just full of questions this evening.
if you are just starting your program how many are enrolled?
if you are nearing the end of the road how many did you start out with and how many do you have now? also, was there one semester where alot of them dropped at once? which semester?
i am sorry for all these questions but i have a ton of them.
there are 36 students in my class and 20 that made it to graduation this year!that is why i ask. is it that hard where over half drop out befor they finish:uhoh21:

Hi Jenn,
Well, I am in my 3rd semester out of 5 and we started out with 64 and we now have 68. LOL! This is because there were a few of us that had to take the 2nd semester over so now we actually have more than the limit of 64.
Our school accepts 64 students 3 times/year.

started the program with 40 students. 29 of us graduated 2 days ago. don't fret though!! only 1 person actually dropped out...the other 10 went into the part time nursing program (they don't graduate until may 2005). i was in the full time program.
the class after us (full timers class of 2005) started with 30 and now have 24. 6 have dropped. i have no reason as to why, since i wasn't in the class. if you are determined to make it through...you will find a way to finish!
yes, nursing school is hard...i hate to say hard, i say "challenging". it is because there is soooooo much to learn and understand. good luck to you!

There will be 40 in my class. They told us not to get discouraged when you see that less graduate than started. You also have to look at WHY they dropped. People drop for many reasons other than academic concerns, such as financial issues, divorce, pregnancy, family illness, etc.

Try 260!!!! :uhoh21:
Are you sure that is not a type~o?
I kid you not. We have an entire auditorium to ourselves. Mind you, half will drop out and another handful later on!
Why are your classes so tiny? I'll check...maybe we'll get split up eventually. It doesn't make a lot of sense. 260?

Guess us Canadians like the "crowded hockey arena feel " to our Nursing schools :chuckle

We have 50 students. We lost 2 during the first semester. I'm curious to see how many will be back for second semester in September.
Sometimes the lecture halls feel like you are in a hockey arena, shoulder to shoulder, and sometimes in the nose bleed section.
