I was just wondering how long everyone's LPN program is. I start my program in June 2010 and I think that it's going to be 18 months. Do you think that this is too long or not long enough for nursing school?

Oops, I thought that my program was going to start in June, but it is an 18 month program starting on May 27, 2010. I'm glad that I can start a little bit earlier.

My LPN program is through the new Community college in my area, they took over the universities program. The length is spring summer and fall semester. That also includes IV training. The program currently has more to learn than the RN course that our CC shares with another university at the other end of the state.

My program is 14 months long, and I hope to graduate in December. It's a fast track program and our class times depend on the actual class. Like right now I'm doing Pharm which requires 30 hours and fundamentals II which requires 60 theory and 30 hours of lab. So I'm there M-F 5:30-10:30pm and we had to do two Sat this mod too. Next mod it gets even worst since Pharm II will go up to 60 hours and Fundamentals III will require the same 30 hours for lab and 60 for theory. So for those 5 weeks (each mod is 5 weeks long) I'll be in school M-S and two of those Sat are for 8 hours. Ugh, I get tired just thinking about it.

NrsintheFam, I understand how you feel. I would not want to go to class on the weekends either; that's family time. Well, at least you will get done sooner than a lot of people because my course will be for 18 months.

I start in February my school is a 15 month program...I cant wait to start :hpygrp:
