Indiana State University Online LVN to RN program
I've been an LPN for almost 5 years now and I have looked at the ISU and Excelsior programs many times. I received my LPN diploma from a school that is nationally accredited, meaning my credits will not transfer to regionally accredited schools such as Ivy Tech and probably ISU. Does anyone know if I would qualify for the LPN to BSN program with ISU? Would having my LPN mean I would only have to follow the program as it's laid out on ISU website like everyone else, or would I have to take additional classes? Basically are there pre-req's to the phase I other than holding an LPN license?

Jtag!!
Well from what I hear the tag was lifted, apparently they found the charting that they said wasn't there and everything is good again. I wish we had computer charting, it would make life so much easier!

Jtag!!
What happens when a facility recieves a IJ tag? I heard that all the nurses licenses are in jeopardy...is that true? What if you never even met that resident, but you work at the facility....can your license be in jeopardy if you weren't even at the facility the entire time the resident was there???

Tuition Reimbursment/Scholarship...HELP!!
Ok guys, need some advice here. My job offers tuition reimbursement & a scholarship! But here's my question....since it's not a traditional school how the heck do I apply correctly? My tuition reimbursement states that I need -course title & purpose -the date(s), time, and length of the course -the location at which the course will be taught -the cost of the course Since this is a work at your own pace program & you only pay for books, yearly fee's, and exams.....what exactly should I put in my letter? Should I include costs of all the exams? Those of you that recieved tuition reimbursement, how did you do it? I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks:)

Is anyone using RUE publishing
They do NOT:no: finance Excelsior's fee's. In fact on top of what you pay them for study guides, you have to buy actual books to go with their study guides, pay for EC's exams, application fee & enrollment & yearly fee's! Rue is VERY misleading and not worth your time or hard earned money!

Excelsior Advice needed
Honetly I :heartbeat EC!! I get "clinical" experience everyday I work. Seems pointless to do for free what I get paid to do already!

Taking pre-requisite classes vs CLEP test
I am in the same boat as you!! I too tried ITT but the education was not worth they charged, so after 2 semesters & feeling like I wasn't learning anything I decided to go a cheaper & more practical route & joined EC. I too would like to CLEP several classes, definately going to try to CLEP English because last Jan when I took an entrance exam I got a 97% on the English/Writing portion so I figure the CLEP can't be much worse & the CLEP fee is much less expensive than the exam fee!

Passed Transitions tonight!
Good job Girl:yeah: You are flying through these classes at lightning speed!! I still can't get off the ground...but there has been a lot of unexpected things happening, but now the surgery is over and the results were good...I can finally breathe a sigh of relief and get back to my life! Everything got put on the back burner for about a month while that whole ordeal was going on.....but now I hope to start getting through all the classes like you, just maybe not at the same speed because I cannot afford to go that fast! Any advice on where I can get some cheap books? Are you using the current editions of previous editions to save some money?
