How long is your LPN Program??

I was just wondering how long everyone's LPN program is. I start my program in June 2010 and I think that it's going to be 18 months. Do you think that this is too long or not long enough for nursing school?

Well, I completed an LVN/LPN program in 2005, and it was approximately 12 months long. For a basic practical nursing program, I personally think that 12 to 18 months is sufficient.

Ok thanks @ TheCommuter. Yeah, I was just thinking about he amount of information we have to try and cram in, but I guess that school is just an overview of each topic and you really learn when you actually hit the floor as a Licensed Nurse.

My program is 15 months long which isn't long at all once you get in there and start learning all the information they want you to know in a couple weeks time. Good luck!!!

My program is 4 semesters or 16 months long. I start in January 2010, I'm so excited. I'm sure that the time will fly by, my only concern is the NCLEX exam. I have started reading some of the questions and I don't even know how I will be able to learn all the material to answer those questions properly.

I start in january and the program is exactly 11 mos long

I also work 7 days a week (a few hours each night) at home as a self-employed medical transcriptionist, too! CRAZY schedule but it will pay off in the end. :uhoh3:

My program is also 4 semesters or 16 months long... :)
