Dec 30, 200916 yr I was just wondering how long everyone's LPN program is. I start my program in June 2010 and I think that it's going to be 18 months. Do you think that this is too long or not long enough for nursing school?
Dec 30, 200916 yr Experts Well, I completed an LVN/LPN program in 2005, and it was approximately 12 months long. For a basic practical nursing program, I personally think that 12 to 18 months is sufficient.
Dec 30, 200916 yr Author Ok thanks @ TheCommuter. Yeah, I was just thinking about he amount of information we have to try and cram in, but I guess that school is just an overview of each topic and you really learn when you actually hit the floor as a Licensed Nurse.
Dec 30, 200916 yr My program is 15 months long which isn't long at all once you get in there and start learning all the information they want you to know in a couple weeks time. Good luck!!!
Dec 30, 200916 yr My program is 4 semesters or 16 months long. I start in January 2010, I'm so excited. I'm sure that the time will fly by, my only concern is the NCLEX exam. I have started reading some of the questions and I don't even know how I will be able to learn all the material to answer those questions properly.
