    Help Destress

maybe you are studying too much... you know when you study a lot of information at one time your brain can't seem to process that information. eventually you keep studying but either you can’t remember the information on the test or you get confused about the right answer. anyhow why don't you try studying more effectively, change your study habits. do more reviewing then studying new material all the time. also study to make connections and ask why for everything. i am going to start nursing school in jan. i am not sure how effective these tips are but i have received this advice from others. good luck!!!! :)

    Facebook or Blackboard

we use blackboard, but they do have a fb page. blackboard is more convenient, because they can also post announcements. also my college sends out emails to our regular email address we provided, for example like hotmail. this is really helpful since i check my regular emails daily rather than the colleges. that page takes forever to load lol. they don't post much on facebook, i guess keeping in mind that not everyone has a facebook account.

    NET where and when?

Net stands for Nursing Entrance Test. It is taken after you apply to nursing school. In Canada it’s decided by the college when you will be taking the test (each college have different dates). They will send out information package stating that you need to take the NET and what the test will be on. Some colleges test students on their English, math, and science. Where others colleges only test on English, and math. All multiply choice questions other then English where you might have to write an essay. Once again it’s decided by the college if they want you to write the essay on the entrance test or on your assessment test. You do the Assessment test when you are accepted into the program.

nursing schools. May have screwed myself...

    1. did you just drop the classes or the program? 2. did you drop your classes before the drop date? 3. are the marks on your transcript? did you drop the classes before the final exam? the grade might not be on your transcript. also if you only dropped your classes then you are still in the program but if you dropped the program then it’s going to be really hard to get back in. see the academic adviser and dean or program coordinator and ask these questions because these not only affect your re-admission at this school but also another you apply to. good luck!! remember everyone makes mistakes, just learn from them and move on... :)
  11. Find out which schools you want to apply to, then go and see the academic adviser there. Explain your situation and ask them about your next steps. Next ask them about how they look at repeated course to bring up GPA. Other than this, you are on the right track. Good luck!! :)

    Super Stressed Out..Help!

Talk to your financial aid office at your school. In Canada a student doesn’t have to pay back loans if he/she is still in school. Also you can apply for relief forum (not sure if this is the forum name) ask your financial aid. This forum basically says that you are unable to pay your payments at the moment so the y gives you like six more months.
