Just curious how long have you all been at your current facility. Overall do you like it? Do you see yourself staying there longer?
21 years as of June 1st-hospital setting. I guess I must like something about it to have stayed around that long. I do like the pts. but I could do without the tattling, a$$-kissing, etc. The thing is, there is BS wherever you go-I know the type of BS there is where I work & have gotten very good as staying out of it. "Staying out of it" annoys the little snitches but I say later for them.
Almost 11 months. I've been a nurse for 11 years and have worked for about 8 companies so I'm a chronic job hopper... not always by choice unfortunately.
I'm very hopeful that in the next few weeks I will be starting a job in a great psych facility where I'd like to spend the rest of my career. I've done med surge, psych, ltc and home health... but psych is my first love in nursing..
Been at my current facility 6 years. Compared to my first facility, it's a spa resort(both inpatient Hem Onc at large hospitals.) Lots of support staff, good money, decent ratios(although staffing has been a bit rough lately.) I plan to stay awhile yet, although ultimate goal is accelerated masters/NP. I can't do this job the rest of my career.
