I've been a floor nurse since day one. I float throughout the hospital, and I like that I see everything and literally know EVERYONE! Lately, I get really excited to know that my assignment includes a patient on (in our SNF) or transitioning to hospice (but still on acute).
Sometimes the down side of being a Goldilocks nurse (not too little experience/not too much experience) is having all these options available to you. So, my question is, how did you know that your specialty was THE ONE that you would do for the rest of your life?
