How Do Your Partners Feel About The Time You Spend On This Web Site

Nurses Humor

My partner is being very understanding about the time I now spend on this web site, reading and wrtiting posts I must spend hours coming back and forth to see what is going on. This morning the mood was slightly more sarcastic as I jumped out of bed to run to the computer 'I remember when you used have other things on your mind in the morning' :rotfl:

What I repied like running down stairs to make breakfast :coollook:

Seriously though I am so glad I didnt find this web site til after my NCLEX cause I definatly wouldn't have done any studying lol

Anybody else have partners who are less than thrilled with their competition

My husband knows I have an addiction to this site and he thinks I spend way to much time on it. It is my saving grace between study sessions and just a way to unwind for me. My husband is a Software engineering student so I have 5 compouter setups and one laptop, we have all- nurses on every one ... :rotfl: And since I get all the replys sent to my email because I like to kep up with the threads, I sometimes accumulate thousands of emails in my account ( I have some special email to allow for unllimited email or something like that). One day after work he met me at the door and said "do you know how many emails you have in your account" I said no how many... he said "3,586 90% from your nursing site, you need to fix this woman, your clouding up the system":rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That is really funny

My husband doesn't care, but will often make a comment like "Do you have any bed sores yet from sitting on the computer all day?" :rotfl: Of course he thinks he is just hilarious. Sometimes he will come and read some of the funny stories. Of course between my 7y/o dgtr and 14y/o dgtr and husband, we all fight for computer rights, and if one of us get up.....Well that means it's available. So not only do I not have time to pee at work, but can't get up to pee if I'm at home on computer :rotfl:

Considering we have the at home network up and running, we're usually both on at the same time. Only "his" forum is a knife company. The time I spend on allnurses is a drop in the bucket.

that I spend too much time here instead of studying and wind up procrastinating. (Like right now as a matter of fact. :uhoh21: )

If my partner would have a problem with it, then it's their own insecurity. I'm here an hour a day, and it's a site related to my line of work.

A knife company? Is that work or hobby related? (Sounds scary, lol)

My fiancee likes to joke around that I spend too much time on this site, especially when I'm over at his place since I take over his computer. But he spends just as much time on sports sites, so he understands.

My dh makes cracks about me being on here all the time. What can I say. I am addicted!

He collects tactical pocket knives. Of course they couldn't be the relatively inexpensive, everyday kind. The co w/that particular forum specializes in high end, tool steel , carbon fiber (aka EXPENSIVE X 3 :o ) type. It is a little unnerving sometimes b/c he likes to leave them open on the edges of bookshelves, tables, etc. I rarely go barefoot. Almost lost toes too many times b/c I'm really clutzy and bump into things. On the other hand, anytime I need to cut open boxes or packages there's always one around.

OIC. I would have to wear steel toed boots around your house, too. It would be really hard on me, too, because I am always almost barefoot. I hate wearing shoes.

My hubby doesn't quite understand why I spend so much time here (way too much sometimes, esp with my homework load), but he doesn't really care. We have our own offices and computers-empty nest syndrome :D - so no fighting for computer time. If I'm reading late, he comes and says good night :kiss , and suggests that I not stay up all night. It is REALLY great the nights that I have insomnia! :wink2:
