How to become RN in British Columbia?

Published

Hi guys i need your suggestions on this, my wife recently passed the recent board exam given by PRC last June2008, in this regard shes asking the step to take in going for an RN in British Columbia, Vancouver. What are the requirements so she can have her papers assessed.

Yup, the never ending yearly payments to professional bodies, to ensure that exams are written, documents checked....

janfrn thank you :)

Wow, seems it's so expensive, since I have to renew my registration every year.

Hi breech are you already working as a registered nurse in BC? what sort of things did you accomplish? hmmmn I'm newbie here in the forum, your response will be highly appreciated....

[color=#333333]

[color=#333333]when can i possibly expect an acknowledgement email/letter from crnbc?

Thanks Fiona59.

yes but its too risky. going to. Canada, resigning from a job here in the Philippines, money etc. my question is that .. is it all worth it? i mean, if i passed crne, do you think that its easy to find an employer to get a workng visa knowing that there are plenty of IENs applying each year.... :c

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

It is a risk and finding a employer will depend on the province as well as meeting province college of RN requirements. Also be aware if looking to get PR without a letter of job offer the federal skilled worker route is now capped and no job offer means you can't go that route for the rest of this year

Specializes in Emergency, medical-surgical,.

As long as you have a job in the Philippines, stay where you are, apply for RN registration and wait for your assessment!

If you are able to find an employer will depend on your work expierience and your nursing speciality.

It won't be easy but if you are patient I am sure a door will open.

can someone send me a copy of crnbc old form 49 pdf file as the fee has gone up fron 260 something to 560. pls pls plssss. i will really appreciate it. I'm desperate thank you..email me at azhilem @ yahoo.com

Specializes in NICU, PICU, PCVICU and peds oncology.

What exactly is Form 49 for? The only CRNBC fee that is close to $560 is the examination fee, but it's higher than that, $600 plus HST (12%) so $672. Why don't you contact CRNBC directly and get the form from them?

rang crnbc, new fee will apply on the 1st of march, hence the 262.60 fee will be the same till feb 28, so plss if any of u still have a copy of an old form 49 payment fee form pls, pls email it to me.
